We ate here last year as the breakfast was amazing, but today the 4th of Jan was awful. My partner had eggs on toast which were bland. I had the eggs Benedict which was one of the worst I have ever eaten. The hollandaise sauce was bland and tasted off, the eggs were bland and not cooked well, the toast was burnt. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A TOASTER maybe don't own a cafe..the fact that you served burnt toast instead of remaking it is a sign of pure laziness and not giving a shit. I don't want to hear that it's busy and a family business, you deserve every part of this 1 star

Unfortunately my experience of this cafe was dire, mainly because of the exceptionally rude service from one of the waitresses and the equally charmless cook (surely daughter and father?). After getting my order wrong both berated me loudly for their mistake. The food, when it arrived, was tepid and congealed with grease, and the coffee (also tepid) was weak. Having now read other reviews I can see that I’m not the only person to have had a really grim experience here. The staff at The Pantry really need to learn how to communicate with customers politely.

I was highly disappointed with the service I received today. I was carrying my child and purchased a few burgers and a coffee to go. After receiving my items, I was informed that the bag was sold separately, which is not an issue. However, I was then asked to pay in cash. What I don’t understand is why this wasn’t communicated to me when I placed my order. While the food was tasty, I regret to say I will not be returning due to this experience. My suggestion would be to hire some staff or train your staff to be polite and be more respectful ( which I wouldn't address now) and have common sense.

The size of the regular coffee was a size above a shot! Absolutely disgusted, I thought they made a mistake when I told them I ordered a regular size not a small. They reassured me this was a regular…. For the prices we get charged I will never be returning!

A standard regular size across Australia is 240ml, not half that! Pretty simple!

The latte I was given was covered in actual coffee grounds. It was gritty and sour…? The shop is very busy and I haven’t the time to return it to try another. The food admittedly looks quite fresh and nice - but I haven’t had any to try!

The service was pleasant if brusque. Doesn’t deserve a 1 star, but 2 feels overly generous when considering the coffee service.

I was surprised to see this place only has 4.2 stars. The service was friendly and the food was prompt, fresh and hot! The coffee was also great and HUGE 😍
