We have been regular locals coming to The Palace at least once per week. Friday night 29th Nov we booked dinner inside as there was no room on the deck. We brought 3 friends from out of area. I ordered the feta and avocado salad for $22 with added chicken $7. So almost a $30 salad. It arrived and was served on 50% of the plate. It was the smallest serving I have ever received there. My husband ordered the seafood pasta and it was a much smaller portion than usual. After he finished he had to order an entree as he was still hungry. This was the prawn entree, but they arrived and appeared to be small frozen prawns in a white sauce and not good. Our friends ordered snitzel which was a good size but dry. My daughter ordered curry special for $36. Overall as locals who have been coming here for over 30 years, we have been disappointed to see prices increase so much and now with portion sizes reduced we are disappointed as the quality is pub quality. Spending $36 on average Rogen Josh lamb curry is excessive. It is what I would expect in a restaurant not a pub. We won't be recommending or coming back for a while. This was the worst value and experience in some time. Oh and we paid $24 for 2 drinks. There are plenty of other restaurants to eat locally and pay a lot less for larger sizes and better quality.

Cozy vibes and a spacious place with plenty of locals. The service was average, and the food was a bit pricey at $35 for the meal and $10 for a schooner of beer. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my food, but it turned out to be amazing! worth coming for the bar food and Friday night atmosphere.

Tasty food but expensive. Pubs aren't as busy these days. $12.50 for a schooner of pale ale...wonder why!

Staying here for my buddies wedding. Rooms are good if simple, bathroom is in a state of slight disrepair, shower head cannot attach to the wall. Bar is awesome, lovely staff, kind and attentive. Honestly a good sleep, especially after circumnavigating the globe. Good price.

Always a nice stop before visiting my parents on Fridays. But $25 for two schooners is getting pricey. Inflation
