The Outlook Cabana - Terrigal, New South Wales

The property is so beautifully cared for, the feature being the infinity pool and surrounding gardens, plus the extra things to do bush walking, horse riding or kyaking.

The Cabana is large and very well appointed, the bed whilst being firm wasn't too hard that it was uncomfortable very supportive, the bathroom is well stocked with additional items not normally found in most places. Large privacy blinds that though you can see out the owners cannot see in, I had no problems at all in terms of privacy and felt quite relaxed, most times the owners are very busy so no one is watching you, as noted in other reviews quite negatively I thought.

The only negative is whilst lounge was nice and clean it needs refurbishment or replacing as support as gone on each side middle part is ok. Plus unfortunately you can hear road noise as it isn't far from main road but mostly if you keep yourselves busy on the property it isn't a problem.

Definitely recommend for Wedding Anniversary or other special occasions.

Overall fairly disappointed. The property is far below standards for the price paid.

The actual cabana has two small armchairs and a small couch, all very dirty and smell quite bad, the couch back very lumpy. The other option to relax would be the bed which is very hard and not comfortable.

The biggest issue we had was the main house looks over the cabana, it kind of feels like you are being watched over. This is made worse by the location of the pool. To access the pool you need to walk to within a few meters of the main door where the hosts often hang out and then down the stairs where you are then looked over by the main house. It kind of feels like you are sneaking into someone else's pool.

Overall the lack of privacy and poor condition of the cabana made us think it is very overpriced but has some potential.

The actual cabana was really beautiful, clean, fresh and had a great view. However, what isn’t shown in the photos is how close the main house is to the cabana (about 5m away). We felt that we were being watched the entire time on what we were doing and the space did not feel private unless we pulled down all the curtains in the cabana. On top of already expensive hotel pricing for the cabana, they charge an additional $50 for minimal firewood and their firepit. We were also asked if we could feed their dog whilst they were out for the day which isn't what we wanted to have to consider being on our honeymoon.

When we arrived back from dinner the first night, we saw the owner looking through the window at us as we got back to the cabana.

The owners were also angry at us for using the indoor fireplace even though there was no rule in the extensive rulebook that we couldn't use it because they said it was too hard to clean.

Overall it's a beautiful place and land but a shame there's not too much privacy. If you are wanting full privacy I would not recommend staying here.

Nice accomodation and view but the host was invasive and snobbish. We felt like we were being watch the whole time. We were unsure of what were allowed and what were not given so many rules. We stayed 2 nights but ended up spending most of our time outside the property. There is literally nothing nearby to see or do. The pool was being cleaned the whole time and the entertainment area was not setup to have a welcome feel. The bed sheets and bed were dated. The gardener was friendly and helpful though, but that was it. We didn't make use of any amenity due to fee that we would be told off. It was like staying at a stranger's house, airbnb with the host under the same roof at the same time, except you are charged a 5 star hotel rate. Quite disappointed overall.

Love the garden and pool space which we made the most of during our stay at the Cabana. The room had everything that we needed for our 3 night stay. The host was very helpful and loved her dinner recommendations.

I recently had the pleasure of conducting a wedding ceremony in the garden outside The Cabana. (I was the celebrant). What a truly unique location for a wedding on the Central Coast! The gardens are delightful- clearly carefully tended to. The bush and ocean views are out of this world. The place has a lovely intimate feel: a fabulous choice for a small wedding or an elopement.

Beautiful property with lots of animals to hear & see, goannas, horses, birds, butterflies, chickens, dogs & wallabies. Private & secluded with a pool overlooking amazing views. Friendly staff, would definitely love to come back.

Amazing scenery. Beautiful contemporary decor. Equipped with everything you need, even the little luxuries (coffee pod machine, Netflix...). Very accommodating and helpful host.
