The Old School bed and breakfast was a great find and is beautiful in so many ways. The building itself has been so beautifully restored. And then there is the added solace of the verdant garden, the majestic views across the valley, the furniture, the linen and soft furnishings. But probably what we will remember most is their gentle welcoming and nurturing hospitality. They seem to have put their heart and soul into creating a place where everywhere your eyes rests, there is beauty and considered and respectful care. Jacqui is a marvellous cook and I highly recommend you get to experience her culinary skills. The fabulous breakfasts, the comfort of the king sized bed. The interesting conversations with Peter who gave us an insight into his very interesting career was so enjoyable . We highly recommend this accommodation, it was not only fun meeting them but also it broke the long journey from Merimbula to Melbourne. |Thank you both for sharing your beautiful space with us. This place is really a hidden gem. The house is from the page of a fairy tale book. |We had the best hospitality from the owner couple Jacqui and Peter.|They are not only excellent host but good human also.|We were supposed to arrive there by the evening. But due to circumstances we got there at midnight.|Jacqui and peter stayed late for us. Though the dinner time was over, they left some homemade christmas cake for us.|The breakfast Jacqui made for us so delicious. Jacqui is a wonderful cook also. I had the best zucchini fritter in my life there. I got the recipe also from her.|They suggested us different spots to roam around.|The view around the house is splendid, so seren and tranquil. |In every corner of the house we could see the amount of effort they have put. |It's their dream house and we are so happy to get opportunity to be part of that dream.

We wanted a way stop as we heading up the coast from Melbourne and came across the Old School House in Wolumla, which is inland from Merimbula. We were warmly welcomed by Jacqui, Peter and Beka the kelpie. We soon discovered that this was a relaxing place to rest and recharge.||We enjoyed dinner with Jacqui and Peter on the first night and Jacqui made a delicious platter on the second night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and also left with a couple of recipes that I am keen to try out when we get home.

A lovely experience all round! The loveliest people, so easy to chat with, delicious food, spotlessly clean, peaceful surroundings and beautiful Becca the dog to top off our trip. Our room was actually an old school! We highly recommend staying here with Jacqui and Peter ?

We stayed two memorable nights in this wonderful old school house. It has been beautifully restored by Peter and Jacqui and then seamlessly integrated with the new part of their generous country home. The attention to every detail in this build and renovation is inspiring. Jacqui and Peter are great hosts and obviously enjoy the company of their guests. Make sure you have at least one dinner with them. Jacqui is an excellent cook and host as well as a master story teller. We enjoyed our stay enormously and left with a bag of produce from their lovely kitchen garden.

The old School House has been lovingly and tastefully restored. It is comfortable, relaxing and has a wonderful view. A very special place. Jacqui is a friendly host and a great cook. Everything is homemade and home grown. We had a wonderful breakfast and dinner. And Jacqui took extra care to accommodate my food intolerance. Thank you ! ||We highly recommend The Old School House.

This is a very special, beautifully, lovingly restored Old School House - situated on the side of a valley, overlooking the mountains. It is about 20 minutes from the coast and beaches with a great whale museum in Eden. Jacqui and Peter are wonderful hosts providing delicious cordon bleu breakfasts and dinners. Jacqui puts amazing effort into her food preparation. It's not glitzy just Australian country superb.

After an eventful first day of a bicycle tour from the coast to Mount Kosciuszko we were very happy to arrive at 7 Atkins-Anderson Road. And what a surprise it was. An immaculate conversion of an old school house to luxurious accommodation with a masterful extension providing a rural outlook for the hosts. Jacqui and Peter immediately made us feel at home and helped us sort out some difficulties. We had a very pleasant stay – great food and interesting company. I recommend The Old School B&B unreservedly.
