What a stunning place to stay. It was everything I had hoped it would be and even more. I wanted somewhere to stay so that I could unwind and recharge and just relax. Every moment held a bew vista. The sounds of the frogs, ducks, swamp hens, brown doves, the kookaburras and all of the other wildlife surrounding the billabong which was right in front of my beautiful and quirky and eclectic Studio cabin were soothing and reinvigorating. The sound of the raindrops falling was peaceful. The bedding in the cabin was so comfortable. The fireplace inside and also the one on the verandah were ready and just needed a flame to start them. They were warm and comforting and made it very easy to enjoy the chilly evening by the fire with a nice glass of wine.
The grounds of this conservation area held many little surprises as you walked around and explored the many trails. There is an abundance of seating where you can take a seat and enjoy the ponds and billabong. Truly magical and definitely the best place that I have stayed at.

I stayed at the Old Brush in July 2022 but forgot to write a review so here it is.
Absolutely beautiful place. The smaller cabin where I stayed is like something out of a fairy tale. So rustic and unique. The grounds are magical with kangaroos and birds. Many walking trails to explore. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I would recommend for a a romantic weekend away. Not for big groups as the owners like to keep the serenity of the place. A place to go to be with nature and to recharge your batteries

Our favourite for many years now when wanting to get away. Lovely rustic cabins on a beautiful property. Incredible variety of wildlife and flora which can be seen right outside the cabins. There are also a few very well marked beautiful hikes from easy to more challenging which go through very varied forest types. As soon as we get there the whole family somehow calms down. Gail and Robert are extremely friendly and a wealth of information. A little slice of paradise!

My husband and I just had the most amazing stay. We stayed in the studio cabin which is beautifully rustic. From the moment you arrive, you can feel any stress melt away. Gail and Robert are wonderful hosts who make you feel so welcome. There is also a dog Archie who is so friendly and spent time just chilling with us on our little deck overlooking the billabong. There is wildlife everywhere and amazing walks that we didn't get a chance to do. Our one regret is only staying the one night. We are already planning to stay again in the near future for a few days. Anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and looking to unwind needs to stay here. 10/10.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Studio Cabin and had the most wonderful weekend. The cabin is incredibly cosy and rustic. Situated right on the water, we were able to watch the wildlife whilst keeping warm in front of the outdoor fire. The surrounding area is gorgeous and we loved exploring the property. A perfect stay and we can't wait to return.

My wife and I had a lovely stay in the 'Back Cabin' at The Old Brush last week. Rustic but very comfortable accomodations, nice hosts and a beautiful setting. Wonderful to see the birds and wildlife and to enjoy the serenity and bushwalks. We will definitely stay again.

Wow! What a beautiful place to visit. I went there for a picnic with my girlfriend. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcomed. Robert was so down to earth and so obliging. The grounds were well maintained and the facilities are great. Definitely going back there to stay in one of their cottages as well as some family picnics which we will have next year.

Stayed in the studio cabin. Very rustic and romantic. The view of the billabong was amasing. The bbq was very handy and the fireplace was absolutely amasing especially at night to help set the mood. Very clean and well layed out. Owners Gail and richard were very welcoming and friendly would definitely recommend for a nice weekend to just unplug and unwind. Cant wait to go back.
