When we rate these establishments, it's important to gauge what we are measuring against.

Five stars for a community run, low budget revamp of an old government building. It is fresh, bright and well ordered.

Ranked against other galleries, I'd have given it 2 to 3 stars. The lack of air conditioning on a hot humid evening made it difficult to stop and properly consider the artworks. The overall lighting is too bright to do justice to the items on display. The large cavernous area makes one feel that one is in a barn or warehouse. Too many artworks hit the eye at the same time, cheapening them all. The hard walls and floors tend to amplify the noise made by other viewers, and further assaulting the senses.

Attended a recent performance by Dive Physical Theatre . Into the light was an amazing performance by all with such passion and energy vibrating throughout the performance . This venue was perfect for this type of theatre and its audience.
