What a great little pub. The new owners have really done a great job bringing her back to life. Went and saw some live music didn't eat but those around me that were, looked very happy. Food smelled great. Staff are unreal and the beer is cold. Great job guys.

This pub has a lot of character. If only the walls could talk! Positioned just out of the main city of Newcastle, only couple kilometres away but just enough to give it a urban edge. It’s a grungy place that really supports live music well. Everything is basic. But the new owners are doing a great job bringing the pub back to life.

Had such high hopes for this place when it changed owners but wow.
Spent ten minutes walking between both unattended bars, calling out to any staff to try and spend my money here.
Only met by one of few patrons telling me to “chill out”.
Walked out.
Predicting a cheap pub will be on the market soon in Tighes Hill.

Went here and saw the band The Fuelers on my way to Greazefest rockabilly weekend, Awsome band and at a great venue. Fun crowd and a top night worth the stop.

Recently had a few updates but still retains some of that old pub feel. Well priced beers, friendly staff and a funky mix of clientele.
Beer garden out the back backs onto a quieter street, so doesn’t feel like you’re on a main road. Good location in a part of town that everyone seems to love.

Went here recently with a group of friends for dinner and had an absolutely wonderful time. The place has been beautifully renovated and the food was lovely and fresh.

Also an extra big shout out to our host Neil, who was beyond accommodating and welcoming, and made the night super special for us.

Will definitely be coming back again soon!!

Had a really lovely Friday afternoon here. It’s nice to see some life back in the place, the perfect mix of old and new. Patrons and staff super friendly. Will definitely come back for one of the events sometime.

Food was really good. I had the chicken snitty and it was perfectly cooked chicken thigh with a delicious coating (I think there was some sort of seed or nut but it was so good). Potatoes were cooked to perfection. Really nice flavours. Menu varied but all the meals coming out at other tables looked delish.

$18 snitty night is expensive for a special. And very average. Gravey was watery, chips soggy and bland. Snitty was sus had a weird taste. Didn't finish it. No redeming factors

Pub has potential. Classic newy pub feel. But probably wont be back for a meal. Possibly just caught them on a bad night. As it has a few 5 star reviews.
