BBQ cabbage is to die for. Please try! Flat bread was very different I’d definitely recommend. We had Rump steak, Prawns, Short rib for main and all were amazing. They must be using good quality meats. You could really see the marbling in cut rumps. So well balanced fat & flesh. I’d be recommending this place to everyone who’s visiting this area! Love love love!

Don’t let the casual atmosphere of this pub fool you.. the food is absolutely extraordinary!!!
We shared the flatbreads, prawns, pork chop and beef short rib, all beautifully kissed by the wood fire… the food quality well exceeded expectations, it would be at home it a fine dining restaurant 3 times the price!
A few Dangerous beers and nice little interesting wine list, very friendly and helpful staff made it a delightful experience.
My only critique is that you need some bread to mop up all those wonderful sauces.
Put it on your “must do” list… we will be back!

This would have to be the most expensive pub .... ever .... $52 for a 400g pork chop ... the "charcuterie board" is only about 8 slices of parma ham, yep that's it - $19.50. A glass of house Shiraz was $14.95. The six of us were absolutely stunned and ready to walk when a "not so pleasant employee" was standing at the end of our table, insistent to take our order ....check the menu and pricing before going, is my suggestion. Obviously, never going back there again, we ordered chips.

I've eaten here a couple of times with some girlfriends and we enjoyed the place and experience.

This visit was with a family group on a holiday weekend and the hotel was good about accommodating two extra at late notice.

Food: Food is good, but expensive. Some items like the flatbread ($18) are overpriced. We also ate the slow cooked lamb shoulder ($95). I liked it but others in my group thought it needed to be cooked with more seasoning. Prawns and sashimi were good as were the vegetable sides we ordered. It would be nice to see some non cuciferous vegetables or more salads on the menu.

Drinks: Good selection of cocktails, wine and beer.

Service: Great, good, and woeful. Our greeter was lovely and the waitstaff did their best but unfortunately there were not enough of them for how busy it was on a holiday weekend (considering there was a hefty holiday weekend surcharge they could have had more staff).

We had an issue with one cocktail (Watermelon Margy) which did not list chilli as an ingredient on the menu. When we took the item back to the bar to make inquiries, the bartender (we were later told he was an owner and "was like that") said it was only chilli salt on the rim and to get over it. Unfortunately the chilli salt mixed in to the cocktail, and made it the overwhelming and overpowering flavour. He was extremely rude and did not offer to make a new cocktail just sent us away. The server did end up taking the drink away and offered another but by that stage I wasn't confident as to what the bartender/owner might do to the next cocktail.

When we went to pay it was included in the total bill. They did eventually take it off.

Overall we still had a nice time and the food was good. It's probably quite overpriced for what you get but I understand that running a business isn't cheap and that eating out everywhere is expensive these days.

I will be unlikely to ever return again and neither will the people in our party that day. This is largely due to the rude way we were treated by an owner of the establishment. I just can't support someone who is that rude to their customers who are paying top dollar for food and drinks.

The food, service and ambience was amazing. The waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable and made the best recommendations. If you go, you need to order the flat bread. Highly recommended.

Nice pub, but food is overrated. I had the wood fired pork scotch and it was seriously underdone. I spoke to the wait staff and asked if it could go back in the oven. Wait staff consulted with chef and then came back and insisted it was properly cooked and just looked raw because of the way it was slow cooked in the wood fired oven. So it was basically a case of take it or leave it. Flavour was ok, but meat was very sinewy in parts and it was quite off-putting eating what looked like raw pork. It was obvious that I hadn’t enjoyed the meal given the amount I’d left on my plate but wait staff didn’t bat an eyelid when collecting the dishes.

We made a booking here for Sunday lunch expecting it to be busy. It turned out to be relatively quiet after school holidays had ended, but that suited us just fine as we picked a spot to dine on the balcony. The service was great and complimented the food and drink. We shared fish fingers, sashimi, pork scotch and roast cabbage between us and were very impressed by the quality, flavor and serving sizes. Compliment this with a few of the delicious locally brewed beers and you’ve got a great long lunch sorted. Would highly recommend to anyone staying or passing through the area.

Incredible flavours. Surprisingly good for a pub. Unfortunately pub staff behind counter were appallingly slow. Waited 15 minutes to get our beers. Waiter staff were great.
