A beautiful, relaxed, tranquil place with an amazing display of topiary and some lovely old roses. An incredible garden created in just a couple of decades. Warm welcome from the owners. Many places to sit and contemplate and tea and coffee available. Would recommend to all garden lovers.

We were the only couple that went for the Sunset Harvest and Picnic late afternoon on Saturday, understandably as it was toward the end of the lavender flowering season. It was lovely chatting with Lucy and Richard. The gardens were well-manicured and there were many other blooming flowers in the gardens.

Our focus was on the lavenders, which were no longer looking as vibrant, but the wonderful aroma of lavenders was evident upon entry into the property. We were able to gather a bunch for a talk through the harvesting and distillation process. It was a small-ish field with young bushes, we were told a lot of the original field was destroyed by flooding a few years ago.

The picnic was well-presented and felt very authentically Australian. We were also allowed to select where to have our meal. However, we felt a little unattended before we could have our dessert and could not find where our hosts went. We also feel rude if we had to enter the private area asking for help. But we could tell they were busy as Richard literally ran out of the house to ask us about our dessert preference. I think it would be good if there was an easy way to buzz for help on site since there seemed to be very few staff around during the later half of the day.

Otherwise a decent experience, and a great way to end off a drive south from Sydney. To new visitors, don't expect to see lavenders all the way to the horizon, but instead appreciate the process and the personal touch of being in a smaller-scale lavender plantation when attending the workshops.

Have been trying to reach out via their website for past 4 weeks and email them directly, to enquire in relation to wedding photography, although have had no absolutely no response, shame as the venue looks awesome but service is poor.

Visited @merribeegardens in Numbaa today, on one of it's Open Days. Beautiful weather for a wander in the garden. A gorgeous garden, one could really see the love (and work) that goes into tending the garden.
We had a lovely time.

What a beautiful beautiful place Merribee is...I'm fortunate enough to only live 10 minutes away. I discovered this beauty by driving past it when I'd travel up to Wollongong. Today was my first time visiting as for I was after a bunch of their beautiful roses that they sell by the stem and my god are they gorgeous. So fragrant, delicate, and beautiful...

I'm a local wedding photographer and I've had the pleasure in capturing a lot of great weddings at Merribee Gardens. It's one of the best venues on the south coast of NSW. The gardens are beautiful and the food and atmosphere are incredible. They are on my recommendation list for best venues in the area!
