Jeff was an amazing host, the room was beautiful and I loved that it was so quiet and peaceful. The entire hotel was so friendly and inviting. Can't thank our wonderful host enough.

He also directed us to places we could go, and alot of places we could just walk to. There is street parking, but it was easy to get a spot, and we were there on new years eve.

All in all, highly recommend if you just want a quiet place to stay and enjoy the sights and area.

We were very happy to spend three nights here at this well located accommodation in Hobart. Our host met us as we parked and gave us a certificate that enabled us to park in the adjacent side street. |Our room was pretty with its four poster bed, in this old stone home. We loved the lounge with tea/coffee and complimentary muscat. This was a lovely place for a night cap. |Wifi was slow so we used our phones. Everything else was lovely.

This accommodation did not measure up to the descriptions as we were led to believe. although situated in a very old historic home you stay in one bedroom with bathroom attached. there are approximately 20 stairs to the front of the building and eight at the rear of the building which are extremely difficult to access. The 4 brass bed was uncomfortable and the room was squashy. The old furniture was not accommodating and kitchen utensils were limited. I think it was expected that we would purchase the breakfast component.

The Lodge building is 200 years old - so this is a very special Victorian atmosphere in Central Hobart, close to everything but peaceful. All the suites are different. The interior design is very old-fashioned, romantically beautiful. There is a beautiful Garden where you can sit. We were very warmly welcomed and for lots of help and information from the Hotel. We were able to wash our Laundry at the hotel self-Service laundry.

Me and my 2 friends arrived at night at Hobart and Jeff, owner or person in charge or the hotel, received us after hours and had been lovely. Prepared the room for us at the last minute and we felt super confortables.
The hotel itself is just what you need to stay close to town, complementary coffee, tea and cookies.

Thanks for having us

Anyone looking for a home away from home, this is your place. Look no further. Jeff and Julie were incredibly generous and made me feel so welcome. The rooms were extremely clean and tidy, comfy beds and a welcoming classic feel to the rooms. In the front guest room, Jeff provides a little โ€œhelp your selfโ€ port station in a room filled with books, board games, fire place and a feeling of peace and contentment. There is a beautiful garden out the back for some serenity. Could not recommend this place more. 10/10!! Will certainly be coming back next time when I visit Hobart.

After reading reviews I wonder did we all stay at the same place or is upstairs different to down stairs ? The only clean items in our room was the linen thankfully |Toilet pubic hair and urine around the base too frightened to turn on spa after seeing toilet. The hand basin had rusted legs and too small. thick dust in most places as for the bed I slept on the couch it was more comfortable our room certainly didnโ€™t feel like a heritage listed building| As for Jeff nice bloke full of knowledge. |Obviously parking is issue with locals first in wins even with the permit. We have stayed all over Hobart but we left very disappointed this time.

It was a lovely stay at the lodge on Elizabeth. Jeff, the owner showed me the lobby, the garden area and room very kindly. He is amazing! When I checked out, he also recommended a market in the town centre. The room is elegant and cozy. Very homely property.
