👍 Reviews of The Local Glen Innes

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a big cheery welcome.
It was pretty quiet when I was here but they have allot of tables so I imagine they get quite busy because they are awesome!!
I had the Spanish eggs and campfire tea for breakfast.
I was told the campfire tea was intended to remind of billy tea cooked over an open fire. As soon as it was brought to the table I could smell the smoke, so it didn’t disappoint. The Spanish eggs were delicious. Definitely recommend them.
This place has everything you want from a cafe. Friendly and efficient staff, a nice comfortable well decorated area and delicious food. 10 out of 10 to the Local.

Had a great experience just ordering take away, I had to wait a bit due to human error but wasn't a big deal at all and the manager was very nice and prepared to offer a free coffee for the inconvenience. It was well worth the wait, because that is the best breakky burger I have had hands down!! What a lovely place and such lovely food, will be returning and recommending to every one I know!

Started using the bacon chicken Avo melt as on of my benchmarks.
Well they nailed it. Generous but not rediculous serving. Each element contributing to the over taste. The rocket, fetta and balsamic side was also well proportioned to be eaten on its own or along with the melt.
Definitely looking forward to trying something else next time I'm in town.
The coffee was nicely balanced, the beans are not over done so the long black extra shot actually commplemed the meal.

Amazing experience for this celiac! Asked about their gluten free practices and they were very informed (and of course couldn't guarantee 100% gluten free but that's to be expected). I had the gluten free pancakes which were delicious (so light and the crispy edges 🤤) with vanilla ice cream and homemade berry compote. My housemate had the three egg omelette which he said was beautiful and fluffy.

The server I spoke to said they can make most of the breakfast dishes gluten free by substituting the bread, etc. I got the impression the deep fried items couldn't be made gluten free which is to be expected (in a good way, from a practical standpoint for this customer).

Would definitely recommend!

Perfect cafe cosy vibes. Great service. Excellent coffee. My partner and I had the breakfast burger. A little on the pricey side but outrageously tasty and very generous serving! Also best chips I’ve had in a long time; the perfect crunch, gluten free and secret seasoning!

Probably the best brekky place in town. Great food. But $17 for an eggs benny with no bacon or salmon (both of which cost $5 extra, so $22 for an eggs Benny on 1 piece of toast) is daylight robbery. Tasted great though. Great coffee. Fix their potions or prices and it would be better. Poor service. Three girls at the front desk. Three customers, and no table service.

Five of us stopped at the Local for breakfast on a Monday morning on our way to the coast. Apparently a busy weekend meant that some first choices on the menu were not available, but the flat whites were good and I really enjoyed by egg and bacon roll on a nice soft bun. We all enjoyed the visit, particularly my sister-in-law who purchased a beautiful hand made wooden cutting board as a present for her son.
