Needed a reasonably priced place to stay for my last night in Darwin so thought it would be good to stay near the airport. Service was good. Didn't eat any food of theirs there so can't comment on that. Location was great. Even though I could hear planes it didn't disturb me. Handy to a big shopping centre. Facilities were basic. Don't know whether it had a pool. There was a small barbecue area but didn't use it.

The room had not been cleaned when I checked in. There was used shampoo bottles in the shower, I provided my own toilet paper. My room did not get cleaned as requested. The toaster did not work and could only be swapped from another room when one became vacant. The word resort should be used loosely. The advertisement for the resort was misleading. They said there were two pools, yet only one working. Many rooms were inactive. The gymnasium had three pieces of equipment and painting supplies stored in it. The manicured gardens were large areas of dead grass. The pool area was never cleaned nor bins emptied until we placed the full bin outside the pool gates. All the furniture in the pool area was filthy. In one of our rooms there was a tiny plaque saying $20 would be charged if the dishes in the room were not done. Yet there was nothing provided to do be able to do the dishes and only the small bathroom sink in which to do them. The restaurant was closed so nowhere closeby to eat. The one saving grace of this place was the new staff member who was at reception when we arrived. She was fantastic.

We had a great stay here for a week and a half. We started in the self contained cottages then moved to the cheaper rooms for the second half of our stay. The amenities are very well maintained on the grounds and the housekeepers do an amazing job everyday. I was very pleasantly surprised, it is an amazing price for what you get. We would BBQ our dinners by the pool every evening. The staff... What can I say? They were always willing to help, have a good sense of humor and are just overall very pleasant people. Very laid back place you can tell. The location of course isn't the easiest if you're too lazy, and sometimes you hear the airplanes, but who cares?... Seriously, I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a lovely 1 night stay here and felt really at home. Comfy simple rooms with good aircon and noise reduction. Reception was super helpful, polite and accomodating. Extremely clean grounds, nice pool area with shaded section over pool and cute water feature. Meals at the restaurant are hearty and big portioned though not quite to my taste.

My husband and I have had the lovely displeasure of staying at The Leprechaun resort on the 21st of June. It was our first night ever in Darwin and we were hopeful and excited about our stay in a city we haven't visited before.
The room itself was fine. We were just glad to have a bed. The problem, sadly, arose when we were attempting to leave the resort at around 4/5pm to visit the city. The gates of the resort were locked and we had no way of leaving. After the gates were unlocked for us and we made sure to ask whether the gates were going to be unlocked for us when we come back (we were ardently assured they will!), we came back to *gasp* locked gates...
We called the number we were given in case such an event transpires only to be told by the voice on the other side that he doesn't know why people keep giving him his number because he doesn't work there anymore. ?

So we took the next logical step and jumped the fence or risk sleeping outside (it was a
nice, warm night, I'll admit).
Even better yet, when we woke up early next morning to be ready by 6 am when our taxi needed to pick us up, the gate was once again *GASP* locked, with no staff on site to open it for us. So we found ourselves jumping the fence yet again, this time with all of our baggage as well. Fun.

5/5 would recommend if you're in for a bit of climbing exercise.

I found the Leprechaun Resort to be a weird conundrum. On one hand, the rooms themselves were old and quite obviously once a youth hostel (as a plaque on the wall declares). The U-bend of the upstairs toilets pokes through the ceiling of the bathroom below. Everything looks like it hasn't been renovated since the seventies. BUT. They were as clean as could possibly be, the housekeepers clearly work very hard and diligently. The array of complementary tiny toiletries were as carefully laid out and beautifully presented as at any five star hotel, and looked like high quality products. The customer service was exemplary from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. The attached restaurant was another pleasant surprise, with fantastic food that was of a reasonable price. We noticed a lot of locals coming in for dinner too, which is a good sign. A very pleasant stay all round!

Went for dinner only. Nice spacious restaurant with friendly staff. The food we ate was very nice but unfortunately it took almost an hour to receive our entree and we couldn't wait longer than an hour and half to receive our mains as we were going to a show. They had been told about our time frames when we ordered and we asked after our food 3 or 4 times. It was delivered to the table as we walked out. We had paid earlier once we sensed we would be pushing it for time and no refund was offered when we had to leave or when we provided feedback to management. For us the negative outwayed the positive.
