A very comfortable stay at The Laurels in a beautiful, homely setting. Lee went out of her way to make us feel
welcome and cater to my elderly mother and her mobility needs. A lucky find after all the motels in town were booked solid! We enjoyed a leisurely dinner (local Indian is delicious!) and breakfast on the deck listening to the bird life in a verdant garden setting!
Highly recommended!

Well, this was different. In a good way! It's rustic, fun, quaint, memorable. We stayed in the River Cottage and it certainly met our expectations. Nice view of the river, an outdoor fire pit (all set to go on arrival), fairy lights on the fence, the sound of birds, comfy bed, selection of books and a backgammon set. All we needed for a little holiday. Very peaceful - yes, it's rustic but that's part of the charm.

Just charming. Outside, the chookery, like the whole property, is very outback rustic but inside is sophisticated rustic. The cabin has everything you need but if not just ask. Although it’s right on the highway, making it very convenient, the garden, river and, yes, chickens make that disappear in an instant. Just relax in the outdoor sitting area made cozy in the evenings with a lovely fire. Breakfast is a feast; don’t pass it up. I would come back here on a heartbeat.

Wow!
I’m not sure where to start. Lee is the most incredible host and we would return simply to say hello. She was knowledgable, kind and welcoming. We had no idea what to expect with this small town and are already planning our next trip for a longer stay at this BNB. The best continental breakfast you’ll ever have, a picturesque, historic location, inviting ambiance and charming accomodation. Falling in love with bed and breakfast in Chinchilla wasn’t on my bingo card for 2024 but alas! We are be counting down the days until we return.

Wow what a gem of a find.
Was tired from time way out west and got an amazing creek side cabin.
Extra bonus being tired was they did room service, so all l needed to do was have long hot shower and get comfortable then a tasty meal to my door.
The next morning and easy continental brekkie option meant l could get away on the road.
I stayed in "The Chookhouse" but the wonderful hosts Shara and Lea have different rooms to choose from, l liked the creek view for first morning cuppa before breakfast.
A real oasis on the Warrigo Hwy. Highly recommend it as a stopover.

Not our first visit, and certainly won’t be our last! On this occasion, we were reassigned to The Chookery despite booking the larger and fully self-contained River Cottage, as the team moved to accomodate the needs of a guest with limited mobility. Although we were planning on making use of the River Cottage kitchen (only a microwave in The Chookery), Lea and the team went above and beyond to ensure that any possibility of inconvenience was limited, by not only providing some kitchen utensils (chopping board and knife) as requested, but also going the extra mile to provide an entire platter of items for our stay including bread, eggs, fruit etc. Phil also ensured that we were stocked up with a continual supply of firewood to enjoy the outdoor amenities. Upon checking out, we accidentally left a water bottle behind. Not only did Lea promptly let us know, but even offered to mail it to us! Such warm and genuine hospitality was greatly appreciated!

Absolutely stunning rustic cabins, beautiful friendly service. I will definitely be staying again and for longer!! Close enough to walk to the cafe next door so dinner was easy and delicious. The photos online just don’t do The Laurels justice for how amazing it is. Definitely a hidden gem!
