This review is actually 2 years overdue. I'm not even sure it was called the Lantern Inn at the time. But I remember the customer service very well. I phoned the owner of the joint very late, it would of been 40 minutes away from closing and I was still 2 and a half hours away from Kempsey. The owner was gracious enough to organize a way for me to be able to collect the key and then get some sleep in after many hours on the road.

The room was really damn clean and everything was packed away neatly. In the early morning I got to awake to the beautiful sounds of birds and nature I'd never heard in Canberra. It was a warm greeting that QLD wasn't too far and, despite me being forgetful in writing a review.

I will never forget the kindness and customer service this place provided. Thank you
