I was pleasantly surprised about the entire hotel outfit and especially the food.|I went with a small Probus Group and had a fabulous time. The wine selection was disappointing because I expected more red wine. Still, I had to settle with a glass of Chardonnay, which was not too bad,

My partner and I ate here a few days ago, my chicken parmi was great! The waitress was kind and friendly but my partners Scallop dish tasted a bit strange. The next day she had a bad bout of food poisoning.

Called in here last week after being to Hastings caves, mid afternoon and young lady behind the bar was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Had roast of the day ( excellent) and wife had salad & popcorn chicken also excellent
If we didn't live in New Zealand we'd be back there every week!
Really enjoyed our meal and prices.

I had Beef snitty and vegie.
Both meals were lovely.

Stopped for lunch and a wander around Franklin. Central location, plenty of parking. Overlooks the river. Kids play area. Pool table. Sunny deck and large dining area. Recycled timber use and combustion heater. Beautiful timber bar. All day dining with good Aussie choices and curried tassie scallops was excellent. Strangest looking hot chips but Oh So So tasty.

Beautiful pub meals at pub prices and pub sizes. I had the new special, Pork Adobo and it was amazing. Highly recommend! Good beer selection as well and raffles on a friday night. If you are staying in Franklin it's a good place to dine in. Staff were excellent (i think i was served by the owner, she was absolutely delightful).

This is the only Hotel in Franklin. Now saying that they must cater to the locals taste as these are the people supporting the Hotel year around. Heaps of bottled beer to choose from.
There are two sides to the bar area dining and non dining with a pool table out front. The dining is hard to beat for the quality of the meals.
Large well priced meals for one or a viking horde. The staff here were great , super friendly and efficient. Thanks for lunch.
