Located in the tiny town of Kin Kin amidst rolling green pastures, I’ve frequented this pub in its different phases but this one is surely the best! Lovingly restored and furnished. As soon as it came into view . I wished it was my local. A group of us had a shared lunch in the dining room and each of us were impressed with the sophisticated flavours and great value. This is not ‘pub grub’. Wonderfully thought out menu, it’s balanced and delicious. Service was knowledgeable and helpful and desserts, especially the chiffon cake, gluten free guava cake and gelato, need special mention. Can’t wait to return!

Newly renovated beautifully...this place is a foodies delight. My family absolutely loved the experience. We ordered the majority of the menu to share and ate and enjoyed every single plate and morsel. The ingredients are all locally sourced, seasonal and so fresh. The cocktail menu is 5 star. The staff are professional, knowledgeable & so lovely and friendly. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a couple of drinks here at the weekend.
The pub has been nicely renovated, lots of space outside (didn’t check out the beer garden as it was raining)
A few good local craft beers on tap as well as a few usual suspects.
The food looked good, will be back to sample when we’re in the area.

Dog friendly outside.

The breakfast pastries are amazing! Delicious savouries such as ham and cheese croissant and potato and garlic danish (yummier than it sounds!); and even better sweet ones! Very reasonable prices too, as the pastries are really rich and filling! A tip - share your savouries to leave room for sweets.

Called in for lunch after a pretty drive to Kin Kin. Lovely renovated hotel with innovative menu. The smoked pork scrumpet was great and not like anything i have eaten before. Pastries very enticing too.

We use to go to the pub before the renovations the food and drinks were always great. Went there last Saturday lunch time sat outside tin top tables would burn if you touched it. Menu was all over the place. $86 300gram steak with mustard that was it. Other meals? Were small and over priced. My wife had spoken to other patrons who were disappointed as well. We are not going back witch a shame.

We were fortunate to dine at this gorgeous property in the lush Kin Kin area of Queensland. The hotel is a lovingly restored building yet retains the charm from the era of its origins.

Not your average pub, mind you. The food is carefully curated and sourced locally. Rather than parmi, chips and salad, you'll find freshly baked breads and pastries unlike any you'll find in "town". The lunch menu consists of sharable small plates with innovative combinations of flavours and colours. Our vegetarian friends who joined us for lunch were thrilled with the options presented, and we all came away pleasantly satisfied and happy.

Service is kind and cheerful as well as quite efficient. You'll find that this location is settled into a lovely, green wooded area next to a creek and wildlife abounds.

I cannot wait to go there again!

The low end to Kin Kin, does have a flood issue in heavy rain. The old Pub with new owners , has had extensive reno's done. It's great to visit, it's worth a look, it's different. has nice cosey corners inside. We often make this part of the ride. BTW, Good luck to the new owners and staff.
