Several years ago, I had the privilege of attending a work function at the Hydro Majestic Hotel in Medlow Bath, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Even after all this time, the memories of that day are vivid—testament to how special it truly was.

The grandeur of the hotel is breathtaking, with its stunning views of the Blue Mountains and timeless charm. The food was absolutely divine, with every dish crafted to perfection, and the hospitality was impeccable. The staff made everyone feel so welcomed and cared for, elevating the entire experience.

I often think about how amazing it would be to return, this time as a hotel guest, to soak in the elegance and relive it all over again. The Hydro Majestic isn’t just a destination—it’s an unforgettable experience. I hope to visit again someday!

I holidayed at the Hydro Majestic as a child and always remembered it fondly. It was an enchanting place. Full of history and mystery. Fast forward 50 plus years and I stayed again in January 2025. It is still a magical place. A special thank you to Mahesh who assisted me on check in and ensured I had a great stay consistent with my old memories. He facilitated an early check in and late check out so I could go on the history tour with ease and was generally kind and helpful. A wonderful stay.

This historic, large and interesting hotel has many positives. They include its wonderful views of the Megalong valley, its wide range of facilities, its excellent staff members and the outstanding food in the Wintergarden Restaurant. Rooms vary greatly in size and not all have views. My quite spacious room did have a great view but many steps had to be climbed to reach it. There are no lifts. While the public interior spaces are well maintained, the exterior needs repainting. Parking spaces close to the reception area fill quickly. My room was comfortable and quiet. I slept well. It had most of the features one expects in a four star hotel. There was, however, no safe. I was delighted that there was a bath. Even with all lights on, poor lighting made reading at night a bit difficult. The ugly bedside lamps provide hardly any light. The breakfast buffet was okay.

I stayed at the Hydro as a small child and always remembered it fondly as an enchanting place. Fast forward fifty plus years and I stayed again. This stay was just as magical as my childhood trips. A special thank you to Mahesh the duty manager who greeted me on arrival. He was kind and helpful. He facilitated both an early check in and late check out as he knew I wanted to go on the history tour. I had a terrific stay. It is still a magical place full of history and mystery.

HM is a magnificent place. At last restored to the old glory of Mark Foy with a hint of 21st century. |So many gems of old retained. The comfort of new integrated almost without being visible. The staff adhering to the old. Friendliness beyond measure. Food is outstanding as is it’s presentation. |Yes I know it’s not budget, but believe you me - if you can relax into it you get much more than you pay. |My hint for your own enjoyment, change into good attire as soon as you can, open your eyes to the splendour of the walls and furnishings and Mark personally will meet and greet you. |Enjoy | Martin

Just as fabulous as it's fascinating history. Beautifully decorated suites with stunning views of the valley and local environment. Plenty of parking and the hotel also has a few restaurants for daytime and night time cuisines. There has been some restoration of the hotel in recently which is inviting and comfortable. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Overall, our visit was hugely enjoyable and l would thoroughly recommend the Hydro Magestic to both local and international visitors.

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at The Hydro Majestic Hotel in the Blue Mountains. The room was clean. The corridors were quiet. The breakfast was not too diversify but enough to enjoy it in the lounge area. Unfortunately, the road work makes the surrounding outside the Hotel less attractive. The proximity with the station can be a bit noisy but it was OK. Free parking. Great experience overall.
