The most delicious food in Hobart!! This is my family’s go to brunch and cafe spot and the food and service is consistently amazing!

We ordered the Chilli Egg Bruschetta with grilled halloumi instead of fried and a side of baked beans - and oh my god! The taste was outstanding! The chef is so skilled and knows how to prepare foods with so much flavour!! The baked beans were out of this world delicious!

Everything was so carefully prepared and packed for takeaway. I haven’t found another restaurant in Hobart that puts so much care and attention into their food and customers!

I hope this cafe grows in greater popularity! ❤️

The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is amazing and friendly, and best of all, The food is amazing, my partner always has and says the Philly steak cheese wrap is so juicy and rich in flavour, get it with a side of loaded fries and spicy crispy popcorn chicken and it’s an overly satisfying meal! I love the Chicken and mushroom risotto, it is also a must try! Our favourite drink to get is the brewed chai, but all the drinks we have tried are so tasteful and satisfying. The Hangout Cafe is a must try (and return) cafe if you are in need of a hearty meal, relaxing coffee to rejuvenate yourself. Or just need a place to hang out with friends over a meal. Great Job.

This place deserves every positive review. We stumbled upon it in passing. Stopped in for Saturday morning coffee and couldn’t resist breakfast. Met with a smile. Great food. Really well priced. Quirky small cafe well worth visiting.

This cafe has amazing food and great staff. I ordered a chicken rice bowl, and extra large cappuccino which has a good portion size and also didn't compromise the quality of food. Highly recommended for affordable food with great food. Kudos to the entire team, great work!

This tiny little café is a hidden gem! It's such a cosy spot, and the staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming—they never fail to greet you with a smile. I've tried many of their dishes, and every single one has been spot-on. The eclectic menu is creative and well-thought-out, with each dish perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. It’s no wonder I’ve become a regular here! I can’t wait to explore more of their offerings. Highly recommended!

Ate here tonight - our first night in Hobart on our Tassie trip - and meals were OUTSTANDING!!! Can't figure out why the locals aren't filling this place with bookings! My porterhouse steak was sooooooo tender and tasty - can't remember the last time I had steak that nice! Our waitress modestly said the chef tenderises and marinates it = well, job done to perfection! Huge portions too. This is one business you'll want to support. Don't know about other Hobart places but you can't get these prices for this quality on the mainland, that's for sure.
