Been here a couple of times now and I like the uniqueness of the food. They are a little quirky, a little strange...and my opinion, a LOT GOOD.
It is interesting to find seasonal food, cooked well and a menu that is fresh and changing. I don't often go back to a lot of places because once you have had one meal, you have pretty much had them all (I mean, how many different ways are there to do Eggs Benedict?). But this place keeps me coming back to see what is fresh and different... and like I said, every time I am pleasantly surprised.
Treat yourself... you wont be disappointed.
* Blueberry Pancakes, A big Breakfast (with fried eggs)... and a Mexican/Spanish bean dish that I cant remember the name of , but was really yummy 😁 *

I had the Big Grove breakfast - was fairly dissapointed. Menu says it comes with 2 pork sausages, however it only came with 1/2 of a butterflied pork sausage? So that’s quite the difference to 2 whole sausages, as you’d expect to receive. Poached eggs were solid on the inside, overcooked. Garlic mushrooms must’ve been cooked in garlic oil with no fresh garlic minced in with them, which was what I’d be expecting for a near $30 breakfast. Shakes came out after the food, one of which came mid meal. Didnt notice any truffle oil on the breakfast, if there was it was either tasteless or not enough to be noticeable. Homemade beans did not seem to be homemade whatsoever, more of a budget brand Heinz. One dissapointed Englishman right here. Being new to the area, definitely wouldn’t be rushing back to this cafe.

Pros: The food is always good, the coffee is good most of the time (can be inconsistent depending on the staff), and the service is pretty good. In particular Samantha is such a joy and brings happiness to the start of my days.
Can get busy especially on the weekend but they handle it well and never left waiting too long.

Cons: Price is a bit steep for sides - the cost of wilted spinach is the same as the cost of bacon. A full bag of spinach can be purchased at the IGA for less.

The Grove is a hidden gem which we travel two suburbs over to enjoy. The food and coffee is amazing (recommend the Eggs Benny on Croissant and the Bananarama). Most importantly, The Grove has been a wonderful venue to bring our 9 month daughter. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and we never feel like a burden for our daughter being a little messy. This is our favourite breakfast venue!

Food was pretty good, definitely had better. The coffee was good though. Service was pretty ordinary, we didn't even get the bread that was supposed to come with our meal.

Ordered 2 small coffees and 2 pastries for a total of $20.60. Coffee was great, but the pastries were overpriced for what they were. The cabinet food did not have any prices on them, so you don’t know how much it’s going to cost until after you place your order. The eftpos machine has a “surcharge” sticker on it, but does not actually say how much the surcharge is. If you’re going to surcharge at least be transparent about what % it will be. Finally, when you order they have a “tip” option on display to tip $5, $10 etc. The tipping thing irked me a bit, seems unnecessary.

Nice little cafe that pumps out Campos coffee. Service was prompt and efficient and the food was good, if not spectacular. My poached eggs were very overdone and my partner's pancakes looked nice but a little underwhelming.

Omg! I tried the pumpkin brioche! AMAZING! The sauce on the plate is actually a concentrated pumpkin soup with spices etc. There was not enough of it on the plate. The maple bacon was so tasty. So glad I tried this place and that dish YUM.
