Room had been renovated but en suite was barely big enough for 2 to stand shoulder to shoulder. Hotel being renovated but we were not advised of this and the whole hotel was dirty as a result. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning was appreciated. Breakfast was basic (tinned fruit, bottom shelf cereal). Car park tight corners. Staff polite. Location is excellent and that made it worth the while.

Few things under construction/maintenance (elevators, garage area)

Very minimal parking on site, and super small one way garage. Rooms are average (clean, jug, tea and coffee provided) optional breakfast to purchase. but it’s perfect for our one night stay, Ezymart across the road, simple to get in and out of the City without traffic, close to police station.

Nothing flash and fancy, but great for a night or two, comfortable.

What a fantastic experience!

During my 5-day stay, I absolutely loved the breathtaking view and the super friendly receptionists who were always there to help me out with any questions I had.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting, as it’s super close to all the famous spots and great transportation options. Just a quick tip—make sure to check if your booking package includes room service!

Staff member who did check-in was lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms are ok. Beds terrible. I know they are currently renovating so will be interesting to see the changes. Renovations are definitely needed. Location was great for us. Parking was $30, which we knew beforehand.

I called in the day to check the parking arrangements and was told that there was limited availability. That’s all I was told. I arrived at the hotel and as I drove towards the entrance the shutter opened and I went in up a ramp for parking for vehicles above 1.3m. I was greeted by a workman who stated that this level was a construction site so I had to go back down the ramp during which a protruding bollard lower that sight level dented the car. When I explains to the desk manager they refused to accept any responsibility for not telling me in the phone that I had to stop in the driveway and check in before parking they also stated that there was a construction site across the ramp I went up - which when we went to check had been left open allowing access a and concealing the sign. They verbally admitted to not providing sufficient information either verbally or by signage and if I hadn’t been able to go up the ramp. The vehicle damage would not have occurred. I managed to get a full refund but now face a large bodywork repair bill for their negligence and lack of responsibility for the incident. Very very poor customer attitude.

I stayed with the Southern Great Hotel for one night. I chose this hotel with the hope to get peace and quiet to be able to work.
There was works in the building i was not made aware about and my room was right in front an electrical board covered by some woodplanks.
You have to pay extra to have some suitable internet and my network was not great in the hotel for some reasons.
I think prices should be lowered in times of major works in the building. Paying $199 for a night was way too much in this situation.
Cleanliness was average.

I will only say that the view was good and the staff were super friendly.

Great location .
Room was adequate but the beds were awful ,I can feel the springs in the mattress, they need to bed updated .
The room wasn't well cleaned with tags from previous guests and fluff/ dust everywhere. The pictures are deceiving especially the bathroom it's very small . Great hot water.

Just skip this hotel all together. I’ve stayed in 3 star hotels that were WAY better than this place. Guest service was rude, rooms were filthy, and the general state of the hotel was outdated and gross. The elevator rattles the whole building every time someone uses it. Impossible to sleep with the noise from that combined with the traffic right outside your window. Plus they’ve got constructions happening which start at stupid hours of the morning and vibrate the entire building. You can find another hotel of way better quality for a similar price. If you’re thinking about booking this one, just don’t.
