What a stunning house. It is secreted away like a hunting lodge up in the hills. The weather was really bad the night we stayed (Dec 2022) but that added to the atmosphere. Jayne was a fantastic host and the cheese board that we requested was gorgeous. This is definitely a superb place for a family get together, surrounded by wildlife in you 'own' mansion in the woods.

This was a fantastic stay! You truly feel like you are staying with a friend! Jeff and his wife is very hospitable! The house is absolutely gorgeous and the drive up is beautiful with wallabies everywhere! Would recommend to stay! They even greeted us with some beautiful wine and snacks to watch the sunset when we arrived! Breakfast is so nice too, they even catered to us being vegetarian perfectly for a cooked breakfast!

What a fantastic place to stay! A last minute booking was no issue for Jeff and Leonie. They were welcoming from the moment the door was opened to us. A late supper in the lounge and a delicious home cooked breakfast with home made jams and granola. A wonderful comfortable nights sleep in a clean and cosy house with the most attentive and friendly hosts. Magnificent views of scenery and wildlife. We could have stayed forever! We stayed here for a night and we were completely blown-away! The hosts were delightful, providing us with wine, cheese and nibbles on arrival. We felt at home immediately, they made sure we were comfortable and looked after. After a perfect night sleep we woke to an endless breakfast and enjoyed rich, full-bodied coffee and delicious scrambled eggs. The hosts encouraged us to explore the grounds and to enjoy the morning without any rush. When we return to Tasmania will absolutely come by this house again. I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in scenic, rural Tasmania.

Stayed at The Great House, is a very beautiful place and offer impeccable bedding and cleanliness beside a continental breakfast.

Perfect place to spend few nights to disconnect from everyday rat race and slow down the pace of life.

There are walking tracks for nature and wildlife to admire.

What an incredible place to stay while travelling in Tasmania. Jeff and Leoni were incredible hosts who tended to every need and had perfected the stay down to the minor details. The location is quintessential Australian countryside; Wallabies grazing Infront of the sunroom windows and Kookaburras singing in the afternoon. The house itself is magnificent and draws on vibes from Tuscany/Bordeaux; designed to host two families there is plenty of room. The king sized bed delivered the best, coziest sleep in a long time. Thank you Jeff and Leoni.

Jeff and Jane were very hospitable. The house itself is really charming and feels more like a ski chalet than a regular house! The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Would highly recommend.
