A country ambient pub and restaurant. The Bull ride festival was a famous event locally which had 1000 attendees. People love the food, booze, and fun atmosphere. The hotel has good seating capacity indoor and outdoor. Many play stations, and lottery too available. Large screens for watching games. ATM facility if you want to withdraw cash. Well maintained interior facilities including toilets. Breakfast, Brunch, lunch, dinner is available.

I waited 1 hour 5 mins for a caesar salad and mash potato and never again. It was just a whole iceberg freezing cold cut up in my bowl. So gross no effort and I waited 1 hour? And the mash potato is flavourless and cold and dry. I'm just glad the chef came pass me I pulled him up and he took it off me came back with the same salad without asking what I want instead this is gross I'm leaving and not coming back- 37$ wasted. And still hungry!!!!

This used to be our go-to steak place, especially on Tuesday nights. I loved their calamari and creamy garlic sauce with my steak but unfortunately, they're no longer on the menu. With prices increasing due to inflation, I understand the need for adjustments. However, as someone who works in the hospitality industry, I'm disappointed they've changed the menu so drastically. It's time for me to find a new spot for steak night. Hahah

We've been regulars at The Gem Hotel for a while, but after our visit tonight, we’re really disappointed. The new menu is a drastic change—not only have our favorite meals been removed, but all the prices have gone up for both food and drinks. We understand that change is sometimes necessary, but unfortunately, this one is a leap in the wrong direction.

The meals were overpriced, while the steak was overcooked, the chips were undercooked, and sadly no steak sauce options anymore. The kids' meals are also limited now, which makes it less appealing for families like ours who enjoyed coming here regularly.

On a positive note, the staff were still lovely, and they genuinely wanted feedback—so here it is. Sadly, unless things improve or the old menu returns, we won’t be back. We’ve noticed the quality of meals slipping over the past few weeks, and this just confirmed our decision.

Okay, i love the atmosphere, Undercover Blonde was playing tonight & it’s always a blast! The band has such good energy & is beyond talented.. Hands down recommend making a night of it when they play.

The staff was so lovely & made the night even better. A great experience when it comes to the service.

The food on the other hand, i ordered 2x Grilled salmons with chips, salad & creamy garlic sauce for $29 each. The sauce was just disgusting, it tasted like boiled milk & had zero garlic flavour, everything just tasted bland & wasn’t appetising.

The menu is so disappointing, my sister who is a vegetarian had nothing to choose from other than a vegetarian pizza. The prices are on the high end even if you’re a member.

My overall opinion is, if you’re after a nice meal reasonably priced, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a few drinks & a good night at a little local, The Gem won’t disappoint you!! especially when undercover blonde plays! 🤘🏽

Meals are not what is described in their menu. Boiled chicken instead of char-griiled, steak sandwich had dry old bun, sauce was an oyster sauce instead if BBQ sauce, not worth the prices! Beer on tap had run out! Like seriously is this a pub or a backyard set up!

We used to love coming here on a Tuesday night. But the menu has now changed. Tonight we showed up for our Tuesday night dinner to not find anything on the new menu that appealed to us, so we left to find dinner elsewhere.
Sorry, but I don't think we will be back until the menu has changed.
All the staff are lovely, but the new menu has let you all down.
