Room was comfortable and was very quiet. Excellent shower and was centrally located in the middle of town. You could walk to any of the cafes or the pub. There is no reception office but the lockbox system works really well. Recommend staying here if visiting dorrigo.

Hubby and I were travelling on motorbikes from SA and stayed one night Room #5 (Heritage Hotel - minimum 2 night stay). Great communication from owner via email, self check in with code emailed morning of arrival. Older style Motel rooms renovated enough to be very comfortable and warm. Everything we needed was provided with the bathroom dated but very clean. Very quiet eventhough on main street with shops pub food and fuel only meters away. The whole area is so pretty with lots of walks to waterfalls (Ebor/Dangar) or drive Waterfall Way to the quaint town of Belligen so much to do, all close by, with amazing history of the area. Great price for the accommodation, and the Owners are renovating The Railway Hotel (in front of the motel style accomodation) so when finally finished this will be a great establishment to stay.

Room 3: I enjoyed waking up to fresh moist mountain air lightly scented with forest green. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. New owners. Lots of promise here. Steve was very helpful with tourist advice. Next time we will ask for Room 7 which Steve says has been renovated: hopefully with new curtains and fly screen, fresh bathroom tiles & a sink big enough to be able to wash off your makeup without splashing your clothes and the floor.

Had a good stay overnight here. Check in was easy; we arrived before check in time and the room was ready and we could check in straight away. Beds are comfy; there is a microwave available too. Towels and toiletries provided were neat and of good quality. Just opposite to IGA which was convenient. We were in rm 2 and the bath room needs an update. Need at least a single mixer tap so that we can mix hot and cold water. Since there is no AC available a fan would have helped in the warm weather. Ideal for a one night stay.

Oh my gosh what an unexpected surprise. Dorrigo is a wonderful little town and the frontier motel was fabulous. Right in the middle of town behind a classic old pub. Room was big, bright and sparkly clean. Beds like home! Too easy to book and get access with lock boxes on the door. Kaitlyn was amazing, answered all my questions about the motel and local area. Follow her advice if you need anything at all. You must walk in the national park, easy boardwalks and spectacular views and you must swim in the Danger waterfall, don’t just look … the water is divine! I am planning my next trip, taking my family this time. Thanks Kaitlyn.

Cannot fault The Frontier Motel. Check in was easy with the key in the lock box and instructions provided on how to access. Room was immaculate with a renovated bathroom. Very well stocked IGA just across the road and a great coffee shop just a 2 minute walk around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Passed through Dorrigo recently and was glad to find this place to stay. Centrally located, big clean rooms and well equipped. Parking for our large ute was easy. We arrived late and the lock box system for the keys was super easy too. Will def stay again.

We had room 7 which had just been renovated. Big shower good waterflow. Bed was comfortable, AC was nice,and to have an electric blanket was a bonus
