This is a very cozy café, nicely located in one of the coolest Melbourne neighborhoods. The first thing you’ll notice is the super friendly staff — they’re happy to mix and match whatever you like. I’ve had two great experiences here, for both breakfast and brunch (as you can see in the photos!). The cakes were fresh, and the coffee was excellent. The specials of the day are always interesting, and the menu is rich with a variety of flavors, offering great options for both vegetarians and meat lovers.

Spacious place with parking handy next to it. Quite a lot of options on the menu. Friendly staff and fast service. Had 3 cheese omelette with extra salmon on the side and beef lasagna- both were good portion for lunch. Coffee was good .

Went to The Food Republic Cafe for lunch & was disappointed to find a limited selection of sweet options on the menu; no French toast, pancakes or similar treats. I opted for the muesli but it turned out to be very basic; granola + yogurt topped with some chopped nuts. The savoury dishes were much better though; Cheeky benny and salmon omelette were both flavourful. The cafe also offered a great variety of drinks, and the staff members were friendly and welcoming.

Great coffee and delicious food! The seafood linguine is a must-try. The service is excellent, staffs are warm and welcoming. It’s a fantastic cafe to catch up with friends and family over a meal or coffee. Plus, it is a pet friendly cafe with outdoor seating!

I had a wonderful experience at The Food Republic, thanks to our server, Darren. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to explain the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. My order came out perfectly, and it was clear they cared about making sure everything was just right. Their friendly attitude and excellent service truly elevated our visit. Highly recommend asking for Darren if you stop by!

A great cafe with delicious food, beautiful coffee and friendly staff. Our first visit here and it didn't disappoint. We were a walk in but it is recommended to book a table before hand. The size of the meals were spot on. Nice outdoor seating area as well. !00% we will be back to this cafe in the near future. The staff are a real asset.

First time visiting yesterday for late breakfast with my partner and I really enjoyed the food. Probably the best breakfast in the area for me by far. Staff was super lovely and the coffee was great. We tried the Omelette and the Cheeky Benedict with pumpkin bread on the side. I'm usually really picky when it comes to omelettes cause I don't like it when it's overcooked and can be kind of dry but here, they made it perfectly and everything went really well together. I would definitely be ordering it again.
