We decided on flathead, chips and calamari rings. The serves were very generous, the fish freshly battered and not greasy in taste. We thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips and would highly recommend it. We did not have to wait long after we ordered. Great location and local parks close by to picnic at beside the water

Good variety of fish to choose from. The batter was nice and light and the chips nice and thick and cooked beautifully.
I loved this shop for the nice, friendly lady taking my order who was patient with a first time customer, and also answered my questions about the local area, all with a smile. Much appreciated.
Good customer service can not be rated high enough.

Your Go-To Fish and Chip Spot!

If you’re heading about three hours south of Sydney and craving that classic holiday vibe, you’ve got to stop by this friendly local fish and chip shop. It’s not fancy, but it’s the kind of spot where happy locals know they’re getting the best seafood around—fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked.

From crispy fish with a light, not-too-thick batter to golden chips fried in fresh oil, every bite is a winner. And if you’re a fan of smoked trout, you’re in for a treat—it’s a standout on the menu and a must-try!

The location is a gem too. Grab your takeaway, wander down the road to the lake, and find a spot at the outdoor council table and bench. With the water glistening and the peaceful view, it’s the perfect place to enjoy your meal. Simple, fresh, and full of that laid-back coastal charm—this is a must-stop spot on your trip!

Bought the snapper, batter was light and perfect, fish was fresh and super tasty.
Chips were cooked beautifully and we were surprised at the turmeric colouring with them, hadn’t seen that since Paddingtons Pommy fish shop in Tasmania over twenty years ago.
This place was highly recommended and we’d also highly recommend.

Had a piece of Flake. 6 Meat Dimmies. 6 Calamari rings and medium Chippies.

All absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection. Generous portion of Flake. Dimmies were bang on Tender Calamari and chips were grate too.

We hadn’t been here in over 10 years simply because we don’t go to Burrill Lake often but we will definitely be back again soon.

It was a great morning out. We parked on the north side of the bridge and strolled over to the park and big tree on the south side with 4 young kids and our dog. Had a play in the sunshine before returning back to the North side for fish and chips. The meal topped off a perfect morning for us. Very pleased. Thank you.
