Great Sunday afternoon enjoying lunch and music.Staff were very approachable and service was well run. Plenty of interesting options on the meal plus pub favourites. We were a group of 6, coming from WA, Qld and Tas and agreed it was a memorable day in the picturesque area.

Just as charming as everyone says. Great building, nice vibe, good beer and food that I really wish was served all day. (The kitchen takes a break between lunch and dinner, which I learned the hard way.) The batter on the fish was a bit thick for my liking but otherwise great.

As a local I’ve never had a bad experience with the Eltham pub, I love the food, drinks and service… until tonight. The short blonde hair girl at the bar, I’ve never been so under poured a shot in my life. Even after we confronted her we continued to be under poured all night to the point we waited for the owner to walk in to serve us. Absolutely gobsmacking! The Eltham pub is otherwise 10/10.

Nice meal, good service and well priced! I was however concerned with the amount of dogs in the outside - undercover eating area. With these dogs fighting, barking and one dog actually wandering free sniffing at tables this really spoiled the experience. I didn't even know dogs were alowed in eating areas- if this is the case then management really need to take control of dog behaviour at this establishment !

My husband and I had a great 18 hours at The Eltham Hotel. We had a friend’s birthday lunch nearby at Frieda’s Farm, so we decided to stay at The Eltham Hotel for the night. Ticks all boxes — cold beer, great service, friendly staff, tasty food, heaters and fires to keep you toasty, accommodation upstairs to make falling into bed a breeze after the day’s festivities. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and refurbished room thoughtfully done. Highly recommended

Amazing pub food that was cooked to perfection. The beef burger was excellent! The patty had a lovely char and was pink in the middle. The pickles that were on it gave it a lovely zing. The fries were crispy and golden, exactly how I like them. They had interesting looking menu items that I will definitely be trying out too.

Stopped by The Eltham for a schooner and a delicious schnitzel. Staff were delightful and friendly. The meal was top quality, one of the best schnitzel and chips ever, with a fresh salad and some awesome side sauces - native pepper & chimichurri, both so good!
