Clare was a great host and very welcoming. We called last minute and in the late evening but regardless of this, we were made very welcome. The house is excellent with great architecture. Everything that is needed for a great stay was provided and the bed very comfortable. The leafy surrounding are a delight. Did not get a chance to try the pool but it looked lovely. ||This is certainly a great place to stay in Coolum.

Over the past week, the Sunshine Coast has been hit by bush fires. My partner, dog, and I were evacuated from our place in the heart of fire zone. We were scared for our place and the evacuation centre was welcoming, however, it was hectic with many pets and the anxiety was overwhelming so we thought we might be better off at a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, these were already booked out. Fearful we had to stay in our car, we found The Dome House online and gave Claire a call. She offered us a comfy bed with en-suite, a bowl for our pup, and much needed beer and wine all with a discounted rate for the night. Although we barely slept a wink, we were safe, had a comfy bed and our dog was content. As the fires were not contained by the end of the second day, Claire rang us up and offered us a room again but free of charge. Thank you so much Claire! ||||Second night round we were able to relax a bit more and take in the beauty of this amazing house. The kitchen had everything we needed and I could imagine staying here with my extended family for a brilliant holiday. We ordered the room service and it was divine and the breakfast ingredients provided were great too. ||||Thank you so much for helping us in our time of need. Your support allowed us to relax as much as possible and we cannot praise your place enough. It certainly made the best of a bad situation.

he Dome House is an amazing piece of architecture! You just have to be there to really take it all in. Claire (the host) made my husband and i feel so comfortable with the warmest welcome. Claire recommended a range of restaurants and activities in the local area and was always avaliable to assistance at the same time giving us our privacy. Breakfast was excellent and well exceeded our expectations.. i have a lactose allergy and there was a range of lactose free products there which made life so much easier!!! ( butter, milk and yogurt) also not to mention a range of refresments stock in the fridge throughout the day at no extra cost! |The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room has earplug at the bed side which i thought was really thoughtful although we never needed them. You wont be disappointed by the place trust me:)||I was really sad to leave as we enjoyed our time at The Done House so much !!!||P.s prior to our stay i received an email from bookings.com stating " i had successfully canceled my reservation". I was very confused with this as i never purposefully tired to cancel my booking. I contacted the host and she told me i was still booked in and not to worry. Just be careful when making bookings as there maybe hackers or glitches that might cancel your booking.. always contact the host directly after booking.

The Dome house is a B&B in a spectacular building. It is a wooden structure, with a few metal sheets, build in a very open structure. The bedrooms are on the side of the building, while the kitchen/lounge areas are in the center. The bedroom has a decent size, and a private bathroom (including toilet). It was not very warm inside, but we didn’t bother to switch on the heating since we arrived rather late. You can freely use the kitchen and content of the fridge (including soda, beer and even wine!). Breakfast was in a kind of buffet/help-your-self (in a positive way!) style, with croissants, a variety of bread/cereals/cheese/yoghurt/fruit… Also worth mentioning: an excellent coffee machine! The beds (we had a room with a king + 1 separate bed) were fine, and you wake up with the sound of singing birds. ||On the downside: although the critical things were clean (e.g. bed sheets, bath room), there were several areas that could use a more thorough cleaning. Given the size and complexity of the house, maybe understandable, but it avoids an excellent score.

What a place! Our lovely host Claire gave us a tour of this gorgeous retreat, showed us the wine in the fridge then left us to choose a spot to sit back and relax. This place has strong a Kingfisher Bay resort feel, and with the house surrounded by trees we felt as if we could have been anywhere. ||Claire had put together a folder with local dining options, which we used, and the next morning we found our way around the corner to the base of Mount Coolum. It’s a great but steep climb but the view is worth the effort. The pool back at The Dome House was the perfect place to cool down post climb. ||We will be back to The Dome House for sure!

My daughter and I stayed at the Dome House for a few nights while visiting the Sunshine Coast. The design of the house was wonderful with a lovely, fully stocked kitchen, great seating and eating areas and a beautiful view of Mt. Coolum. Our host was very welcoming and upgraded us to a room with a small patio, king sized bed and large private bathroom. I highly recommend the Dome House to anyone travelling by car, who wants a quiet and restful retreat in a unique guesthome.

Again absolutely everything was above and beyond excellent. I recently had my second stay at the Dome for three days through the week and it was like what I imagine heaven to be. Not only did all my guests have the most fantastic time, I stepped away to paradise for 72 hours. The Dome was absolutely immaculate, every appliance was working and I found it quite strange to read about a review that must of been made in error. I have travelled the world and always stayed in no less than five star accommodation. This is definitely equivalent in respect to the Dome. The lady that owns the place is nothing short of The most flawless host I have ever encountered. I feel so privileged and blessed that she was part of my Dome “retreat” I thank God That twice now I have been so close to heaven because it is an experience of pure bliss. True as God.

We stayed at this place and rented the whole place. It was an absolutely worst decision. There is no proper windows to protect us from the rain. It was storming and we were flooded inside the house. The first floor was drenched. The beds were not comfortable and gave us back aches. The tea towels and bath towels smell. One room, has only got matress on the floor. The lock in the common toilet is not working. On top of this the communication of the owners was terrible. After our stay, they were very rude in communicating with us and were threatening us. Blaming us for the broken garage door and tried to charge us for it. They were also complaining that we took the rubbish out instead of being grateful that we cleaned up after ourselves. No dirty dishes left. We even swept the floor and we tried to clean the pool because we wanted to use it. I would not recommend this place and if you are thinking of staying here, well thank me later that i warned you about this place.
