The Denmark Hotel has been recently renovated and they have adobe a great job, not just on the aesthetics, but on service and quality.
The pub is open and spacious, with a very nice modern ambiance. The staff at the bar and in the dining room were excellent, and they offer a great range of beers and the food menu is very good.
I had the steak special and it was fantastic, and really good value for money.
I heard from other travellers that the accommodation is very good.
This place is a must if you are staying in Denmark.

12 months ago, the food was awesome - massive parmi that was crunchy, fresh and flavourful… Totally different story tonight. We were told it would be over an hour wait (only waited 40 mins which was a plus). The parmi was maybe half the size of a chicken breast with soggy crumbing. Chicken was cooked well but that was all it had going for it. The ‘salad’ on the side was a handful of leaves and had about 12 chips under the parmi. Not worth $90 for 2 very average meals and a pint (including PH surcharge). Will not be returning. Would definitely recommend going to the Tavern instead.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner and great service at the Denmark Hotel. We plan to return so we can try more dishes on the interesting menu and enjoy the friendly atmosphere in the dining room.

Highly recommended for its varied menu, very good service and reasonable prices.

Wow. The renovated Cosy Room is outstanding! We stayed prior to renovation, we couldn’t stop saying how wonderful the changes are! Food at hotel is great and atmosphere is wonderful.

We were a party of 6 - most enjoyed the meal and service staff were lovely. My meal was the Vietnamese Salad … I added chicken at a cost of an extra $9. I swear the chicken was hard to see - so finely shredded and mixed with salad. No more than 2 tablespoons worth. Disappointing … table beside us sent their same dish back. Otherwise … meals were tasty and decent portions.

Absolutely appalling and bad experience at the Denmark Hotel Restaurant. We had a booked table and ordered at 6pm, only to be left waiting nearly 2 hours for our food which arrived at 7:40pm. And was just 3 meals.. our 4th meal came at 7:50pm. That’s completely unacceptable. And in addition they said they only have 3 chefs cooking.

We understand it’s school holidays — but if you can’t handle the volume, especially when people have made reservations, then stop taking walk-ins and overbooking the place. Prioritising walk-ins over those who actually booked ahead is a clear sign of poor management and disorganisation.

What’s the point of booking a table if we’re treated like an afterthought? Extremely disappointed and won’t be rushing back. We were offered a refund for the whole order or free drinks, I’m sorry but not sorry but if we are visiting a great town or any tourist and it is a tourist spot you need to think about how you mange the flow of customers.

Also a “local” came up to us and made us feel bad about whole experience and talked the problems of the town but that had nothing to do with her or our experience. But THANK YOU to the waitress that assisted us and was very apologetic about our experience and gave us a refund, you know who you are so thank you again!

Stayed Thursday night (April 24th) and had a fantastic experience. Kate was amazing — checking in guests, managing dinner service, and handling every request with calm and professionalism. So impressed by her! Great stay and a lovely dinner. Big thanks to Kate and the team.
