We stayed here for our anniversary with our 9 month old and it was cosy, well stocked and filled with lots of little extra touches. We loved walking around the property and feeding the goats. The sound of the birds, night creatures and the rain mixed with the twinkling fairy lights in the home made the atmosphere feel like you were in your own little oasis. We loved soaking up the lush scenery from every nook in the house.

Positive: Oh the serenity! We appreciated the peace and quiet at night. The birdlife is abundant and the farm animals were a welcome attraction for our baby. Thank you Mindy and Stewart for a lovely cottage stay. The fresh bread, eggs and lemons were also a great addition! Highly recommend to those wanting to escape the rat race if only for a few nights!. Nice but mice. The pictures on the listings appears to be a few years old. Booked to stay 2 nights because the reviews were great on Google and Airbnb. Arrived on a rainy afternoon to be welcomed by some friendly chickens. The place was a bit messy but we attributed it to Mindy and Shaun being away and weather. We know there are mice in the country, especially on farms so not surprised to see droppings in bedroom and living room. Opened the drawer to daybed in living room to find it full of droppings - that was a bit gross. After dinner, my husband and I were settling in when we were joined by the mice themselves.
We contacted the hosts - sent them pictures and a video of the mice. We were told the previous guests must have left food out and just lock away all our things. They were apparently not aware of a mice issue. It was too late in the night for us to move so we had to wait the night out. No sleep at all for my husband and I as we had our baby with us.
Found alternative accommodation in the morning and the hosts did refund for the night we did not stay - which was good but still disappointed about having to pay for cleaning when it really was not clean.

Positive: Great location, picturesque surrounds. Lovely place to relax. Would love to go back in winter.... Negative: Due to the weather it was extremely hot (no air con). Listed as free wifi.. but only available at a ‘high cost’... small minor things .. didn’t ruin a great weekend just need to be mindful!.
