First off, the staff here are amazing and the main reason I've been a regular for so long. But tonight was bizarre...

The owner decided to host a "very important meeting upstairs" and kept sending staff down to shush everyone from 8pm onwards.

I.E: When people cheered at the pool table, somebody had to come down and shush them for having too much fun.
When karaoke started, they insisted on delaying it by "30 minutes" (which was actually 75 in the end).

Everyone who was there for Thursday night karaoke was left feeling disappointed, disrespected, unimportant and unwelcome.

25 years in the industry tells me; that's not hospitality.

My suggestion to the owner is that perhaps an important night-time meeting that requires silence shouldn't happen above a much-loved and popular bar where regulars look forward to making noise and enjoying themselves.

If the owner doesn't want regular clientele, then the message is received. The staff are absolutely incredible and should not be forced into such a ridiculous and unprecedented position.

$2 Tacos were good, the street corn was fantastic, and the staff were amazing. Nice atmosphere and plenty of things to do with a pool table, big screen TV and a pokies room.
Used to be known for the frozen alcoholic drinks they served upstairs in the night club, unsure if that still happens. Good old frost bites!

On the Friday night we were there, the fish, chips, and salad from the kitchen were spot on. Big serves too, we couldn't empty the plate! The service was good and the staff were friendly and prompt.

Fantastic venue for a special birthday event . Eleanor , Jace and the other staff could not have been more helpful. The food, including a selection of vegetarian and GF options, was beyond expectations. Highly recommended and worthy of five stars all round.

We hosted our engagement party in the upstairs function room, and it was absolutely perfect! Eleanor and her team were exceptional – professional, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure the event was seamless. The venue is stunning, and the atmosphere was exactly what we envisioned for our celebration.

Everyone should host their special events here – we couldn’t recommend it more highly!

The guy that wears a beanie behind the bar will charge you double for your drinks and then abuse you for questioning the double charge. Be cautious!!
