My stay at The Cove Jervis Bay was nothing short of magical! Nestled in a secluded pocket of paradise, this spot is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and connect with nature. The peaceful surroundings, crystal-clear waters, and private beach create an idyllic atmosphere that’s hard to beat.

The accommodations were cozy, clean, and well-equipped, striking a perfect balance between comfort and rustic charm. Whether you’re enjoying a sunrise paddle, walking through the lush bushland, or simply lounging with a book, The Cove has something for everyone.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring every aspect of the stay was seamless. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home.

The Cove Jervis Bay is a hidden gem, and I can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat that immerses you in nature, this is the place to be! Highly recommended!

I was hoping to leave a better review and was looking forward to a wedding weekend away at a stunning location.

The Cons:
Cabins were run down and dirty, insufficient space or hooks for wet towels, insufficient towels, and particularly hand towels and floor towels.

The staff seemed disorganised and lacked experience / professionalism for the price point of the venue (e.g. food was late on multiple occasions, and bar/drink station set-up and service were generally slow). The nail in the coffin was them bringing potential bookings through the cabins at approx. 9.30am without consent or knocking whilst all our belongings were in the cabin and before check-out time  (all whilst we still had someone sleeping in one of the beds). An invasion of privacy.

Unlucky for the venue, they experienced unusual weather, and the venue had minor flooding whilst we were there. All worked out; however, I was astounded not to have one staff member come to suggest lifting valuables off the floor, check if cabins near us were ok, offer extra towels, etc. After talking to staff casually later it seemed it was not an isolated incident, so the post-incident management could have been significantly improved.

The Pros
Easy beach access. The food was tasty once prepared. The coffee / café very convenient, particularly as there were no other options close by, and the staff were all friendly and polite.

Overall
Would not recommend this venue unless you have a very relaxed party attending and are not reliant on many of the selling points of the venue. If you have any children traveling with you ensure they are catered for with BYO items  (in case food is late or they can’t cater to children as suggested)… and advise of avoiding the tents. There is no aircon and only shared amenities, etc (no mirrors in tents, etc).

For ‘The Cove’
Please don’t respond to this review with an apology and the feedback stating that you have taken on the feedback, and the cabin cleanliness has been handled and improved on, nor that this is not a standard you accept to deliver. Reviews prior have brought these matters to the forefront, and I should have read them to lower my expectations ahead of visiting. I believe that if there was a commitment to making necessary improvements to enhance the guest experience, I’d have had a different experience and would be leaving a positive review.  If I had not been part of a group booking, I would have taken further action and sought a partial refund. Staff bringing people (potential bookings) into our cabin without consent was an invasion of privacy and no doubt a breach of legal obligations (and no doubt your stated policy).

Beautiful place to visit, amazing place for a wedding. We were with a very large wedding party and the facility was able to handle it wonderfully. We were in a cabin, not the tents. I can't speak for the tents, but the cabin was great with very comfy beds.

We had our wedding at the Cove in September 2024 and we could not recommend The Cove enough!! Where do I even begin!!

The lead up to the wedding and planning the wedding was an absolute breeze with The Cove. Their communication and assistance throughout the planning was amazing and they were so accomodating through everything. The Cove helped us add our own little touches to the weekend and assisted us to hire an inflatable screen, set up tables/chairs the night before and the day of the wedding and were honestly just amazing throughout.

The Cove were amazing the day of the wedding, organising free coffee for the bridal party, setting up the ceremony chairs then moving them to the reception, cueing us to walk down the aisle and cleaned up the wedding hall at the end of the night, the list continues! I was also super thankful that the lovely staff cleaned up the room where the bridal party got ready in removing food, washing glasses and making the bed to ensure the bride and groom had a nice cabin to return to which we thought was so thoughful!

We had so many compliments from our guests from the weekend, everyone loved the cabins and glamping tents and all the facilities at the cove. We would highly recommend the Cove to anyone and will definitely be staying there again. The whole team were amazing and especially Bella.

The Cove was the best wedding venue and accomodation for our wedding, it is hard to put it all into words.

We got married at the Cove in April 2024 and couldn't have been happier with everything - its the most beautiful location to have a wedding at! The beach and water in the background, the stunning wedding hall with the dried flower installation on the ceiling, the friendly kangaroos, the ocean cabin was beautiful and we loved the outdoor tub.

We fell in love with the venue immediately and didn't even bother viewing any others because its perfect!

The staff were super friendly and looked after us very well, even posting some items to me after the event that had been left behind and ensuring I had an endless supply of coffee! The hampers left in our room were a gorgeous touch.

Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

Thank you to everyone at the Cove for making our special day perfect!

Beautiful location. Rooms were a bit cold, but ok. The kangaroos were amazing and friendly. And the coffee shop folks were awesome. Definitely bring a sturdy car to get there. The potholes were pretty bad, especially after the rain. Great place to disconnect! WiFi doesn't work, but that's ok...there is so much to do!
