A great getaway - The Coach House is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the Hawkesbury/Blue Mountain area. Located off the main road at the back of the Lochiel House restaurant, this place oozes charm and quaintness. The house itself is a huge suite with a kitchenette and large bathroom replete with copper furnishings and a copper bath! The kitchen is well equipped and one can easily whip up a simple meal here. IGA is literally next door (a 2 min walk) so getting groceries etc is easy. The suite is tastefully and very comfortably finished with a separate sitting area and TV as well as a wood burner for when it gets chilly. The bed is super comfy and linens were top notch. Breakfast supplies are provided in generous portions. There is a nice private garden with a vegetable patch where you’re encouraged to harvest whatever you want - a nice touch! There are chickens (which were quiet!) so freshly laid eggs are available for you to pick as well. WiFi is acceptable and TV reception is also good. Charlene was welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything required for aa comfortable stay. The only thing we thought lacking was a table to eat breakfast on (vs sitting on the sofa and using the coffee table). Overall - an excellent stay and we’ll definitely stay again when coming back to the area. Thank you!

We have been dining here for years and found Lochiel has been our favourite restaurant however there have been a series of disappointments as of late...
We were charged a booking fee that was not taken off the bill when we paid. Serving size has changed considerably, meals are more degustation now post Covid. We are not big eaters and do appreciate good fine food, frequent travellers visiting Chef hatted restaurants, Zin House in Mudgee, Watergate Port Douglas & locally Cooks Co-Op.

The staff are nice and friendly especially the waitress that makes honey, it’s amazing!

Lovely cottage place, nice high ceilings, fireplace, a chicken coup out the back. Bathroom looks amazing with the industrial style fixtures, however, the shower had poor drainage when we stayed so the water was all over the whole bathroom after we've used the shower. Otherwise, our stay has been lovely Nd relaxing.

Where do i begin? a last minute dinner booking so early sitting (5.46pm) was all that was available, walked in, given what to us seemed the best sitting in the place, at the far end next to a beautifully embered fireplace which, on a chilly mountain evening, created a mesmerising cosy ambience that only further enhanced the overall experience.
The food Wow. What can i say? We inhaled it whilst savouring the delicate flavours.
Service was friendly, attentive without being overbearing....and quick.
So yes, the price was a tad above the norm and the portions weren't massive (yet we had a couple of sides and left full) but here's the thing.....there's plenty of steakhouses and fastfood chains that'll dump a crapload of "ok" food on your plate for cheap and if that's what you're after, go there and enjoy instead of complaining about the size and price. If, however, it's an intimate, tasteful culinary experience you seek with a few friends or someone special, then this is your baby.

The place was delightful.
Fireplace, large TV, large and very well appointed room, beautiful linen and cushions, great kitchen, spectacular bathroom, and chickens out the front. Perfect, really.
The house is next to the very well known and frequented restaurant. This made dinner plans very easy, and no need for a designated driver.
There was a minor hiccup with wifi, but it really had no impact.

Booked for the Easter Friday a month ago on the booking.com, even received a confirmation from the owner to clarify on the bed requirements. Given all this time, just the night before the Easter long weekend, received a phone call at 6pm from the owner of The Coach House at Lochiel said she double booked the room would need us to cancel the booking, and booking.com already charged us the full amount without cancellation. The owner literally said she didn't realised that she had this booking confirmed, until this morning (glad there's correspondence record in booking.com to prove her memory wrong). Absolutely disappointing, unprofessional, ridiculous customer experience, now waiting for the owner's confirmation email and refund for my compensation. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone at all. based on the dishonourable and poor customer service.

Was so glad I saw this place while driving . I did a u-turn to check it out and im glad I did . Had a wonderful lunch here with absolute kindest of service from staff . It was such a pretty spot . Very relaxing and a very pretty outdoor area . Thank you for the yummy lunch and great customer service . I really enjoyed my visit .
