Had a lovely stay at The Clan. Close to the water and walking distance to restaurants, the two beaches Terrigal and Wamberal.

The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows.

Breakfast was somewhat disappointing, however the front desk took this feedback seriously and compensated for it.

The building and bathrooms need some TLC, however it was rustic.

Brenda in particular was super helpful and very friendly. She know the area well and was focused on us having a wonderful stay. Thank you, Brenda, you're amazing!

Terrigal's best hotel! I was recommended to stay at The Clan by a friend and I'm so glad I took her advice! The Clan is a gorgeous, quaint family fun hotel on the tranquil lagoon. My room was beautifully appointed and the breakfast was tremendous! The service and care from the staff was outstanding and I will definitely return. Excellent value for money. We took a quick trip up the coast for our anniversary and a relaxing weekend getaway. The courtesy call on our drive up to confirm the check-in process was a thoughtful touch, especially in case of late arrival.

Breakfast at the onsite restaurant, Maccoa, was included in our room package and allowed us to order freely from the menu (drinks not included). We opted for the big breakfast, which was easily adjusted for dietary needs. Unfortunately, the food was under-seasoned and presented with little care. To top it off, there was no breakfast available on our second morning due to the restaurant closing early. However, the coffee was a standout—smooth, rich, and genuinely enjoyable.

Our room came with basic but clean amenities: a microwave, kettle, toaster, and bar fridge. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the lagoon added a lovely, tranquil touch. Streaming access was available on the TV (if you remember your login details). The downside? No chance of a sleep-in, the onsite restaurant sets up for breakfast right outside, so you’ll hear every conversation.

There are kayaks and paddle boards for hire if you’re keen on some lagoon activity.

At $275 a night over the Easter long weekend, we expected more, especially from the bathroom. While the room itself was tidy, the bathroom felt neglected. Stained toilet, rusty fixtures, no fan (hello, morning sauna), and a shower that required my 6’1” husband to duck. That said, the shower water pressure was excellent—like a mini massage.

Would we stay again? Probably. But it’s not quite a 4-star experience. A bathroom update would go a long way.

Very friendly accommodating staff, surprisingly quite, perfect location. but for the $296 for 1 night was a little much for the room we had, while it was clean and served our purpose, room was outdated and for a family room very small. Essentially a standard room with a bathroom sized room for 2nd bedroom, that was clean and fitted 2 singles beds and a cupboard, room light is attached to the power point 1/2 way down the wall. Not next to the door. Door jammed and was hard to open. Wall lighting only , not roof lighting in bedroom (not very bright) The entrance/main room had a comfortable clean king bed, and all clean working appliances that is standard, an armchair with small round table and 2 chairs, which didn't leave much room. Maybe if this room had a double bed it would be a little more spacious, bathroom was clean and presented well, But outdated. room 25 wouldn't be recommended for a vacation stay with kids. Unless all you just need a room to sleep.

Had breakfast here with my wife. I had french toast with bacon and maple syrup, all cooked perfectly. My wife had a healthy breakfast bowl which was very fresh and a large serve. Coffees were very good.

Staff were so friendly, breakfast was excellent. We stayed on the ground level and on opening up the sliding door we were meters from the lagoon and sand. It was lovely watching all the dog walkers pass by and the children playing in the sand. Room was clean with a mini kitchen so we were able to keep a chilled bottle of wine and some snacks. We had a parking spot directly outside our front door which helped as we were an elderly couple with a big suitcase. Will definitely book again.

Checked in Sat 11/01/25 for 3 nights, ground level overlooking the bay! Perfect location, room, breakfast and staff. 👍Bathroom/shower needs upgrage. Very pricey peak season/school holidays. Overall a fab stay! Thank you! "Jo" and Co.🌹🍾🎉
