Took me while driving around Cairns trying to find a place to have a beer where I could take my dog. Shocked to find a lot of the carefree good ol' pubs have gone. It was 36⁰ so leaving the dog in the back of the ute was no option. I was so relieved to find the Bungalow. The back deck was ideal for a chilled cold beer with my dog under the table after a long drive. A lot of friendly folk there for a chat and a few laughs. The ladies behind the bar made me feel like a regular and the whole atmosphere of the pub was welcoming. I'll be there next time when killing time in Cairns. Highly recommend.

The staff at this establishment are absolutely so kind! I have never felt more welcome at a business as an outside contractor in Cairns like this. Will be having dinner here quite often!

Always had great food here until today. Got the usual steak sandwich. The chef or owners must have changed because the size of the piece of steak was only half the size of the bread. Also the chips have changed in quality from excellent to below average. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. Let me know when the owner changes again
