I would love to rate higher as I've had some good experiences here, but there are a few issues. Today I paid good money but didn't have an enjoyable experience.
First of all, today was the second time I've had a problem with the scan to order system. Not a huge deal, it resulted in a 5 minute wait and having to explain to the staff member I wouldn't pay again as I'd already paid. She was fine, I quite like the staff here.
Unfortunately, although my breakfast was delicious as always, they swapped out their usually delicious toast for some weird crumbly stuff which was more akin to savoury cake. I actually assumed they got my order wrong and gave me some weird gluten free concoction, but the staff member stated that this was their bread now as they had a new supplier. It was not a pleasant dining experience although the rest of the meal was great and the coffee is always good.
I've also come here a couple of times for breakfast at 1030hrs to discover the kitchen was closed. I don't know about you but on my days off, a 1030hrs breakfast after a walk is a nice way to start the day. I find it odd to close the kitchen at this time.
So generally a good place to come eat but a few negative experiences which have made it less enjoyable which is disappointing given you pay good money.

Honestly, not sure why I haven't gone before! Lived here for 2 years and regret not going sooner! Plenty of seating, great lighting, wasn't too exy (expensive), good came out quickly! There was even a little ordering mix up and the manager resolved it speedily! Will definitely be heading back!

I must warn you their portions are huge and definitely for sharing. It's tasty but could be improved.

It's a cosy place and good choice for a family date or couple's date. Their service could be improved as sometimes the servers avoid you out doesn't even come back.

The worst pork knuckle I have ever had , the meat was dry , the outside layer of meat was like trying to bite into rock it was that hard , generally this is some of the tastiest meat . Looked like it had sat in a deep fryer ..The saving grace was the mash potato and gravy on the side at least there was something good on the plate. I would suggest if you can’t do a good knuckle take it off the menu, there looked like plenty of other tasty food on there

We hadn’t been since the upgrade as we had moved away. Recently moved back so went for dinner and was really disappointed. The quality of the food has really dropped off, and the menu has nothing appealing on it at all. Much smaller than previous menus. Won’t be going back again. Desserts were inedible, far too sweet and grainy. Such a shame the food quality is so poor as the facilities are lovely.

This bar in front of the beach has a great open atmosphere. Both the service and the food are excellent. The second floor feels a bit more upscale and would be perfect for a party. The beer is delicious, too. Definitely recommend!

I dined here last night 14.12.2024. Can I just say I frequent this place a lot and normally have no issues. Firstly it is very hard to determine who you are supposed to see to find a seat or whether you just go ahead and sit yourself down. I eventually find a table by myself. Staff walk past you avoiding eye contact. My meal, I was disappointed. You pay $39 for a pork knuckle, I want it to be amazing. The meat was incredible and the mash with gravy also excellent. But the crackle was not crackled. I’ve eaten this meal at least 4 times previously and this was by far the worst. I don’t mean it in a bad way, as the meat myself was delicious. But I am such a huge crackling lover that this upset me. The crackling was chewy, not crispy at all, and not enough salt. Just wanted to provide that feedback and I could not flag anyone down at the time to let them know. The food did come out quickly which was good considering how busy it was. Kids meals were a little small but that’s ok they said it was delicious!

The renovated old building and extension is amazing. Two storeys with lots of different areas to sit including plush booths and bar tables out on the verandah overlooking the Mediterranean feel courtyard or out across the water. Stunning on a sunny day and perfect place to linger over meals and drinks. Lift available.
