Rustic inside, dog friendly outside and friendly staff who also love pups. The coffee was great. The Smashed Avo was simple but delicious. Definitely get the poached eggs with this. Crispy bacon on the Fully Loaded Bacon & Egg roll made it amazing.

We stopped in here on our drive back from Thredbo. We were surprised by the fresh and delicious food and friendly staff. We had the tastiest burgers we have had in years. Fresh buns, lovely salad and perfectly cooked meat. The kids loved the croissants - not too oily which can sometimes be a problem. And the coffees were amazing!! Would definitely recommend stopping here and we will be back!

I went in this morning looking forward to some top quality sourdough toast and happy to pay the $10 for it. Received my toast but the topping was incorrect (it had butter only). I took it back and the server started arguing about what I asked for. Once they, with a poor attitude, agreed to amend the order (and whilst complaining about not charging for the peanut butter) they grabbed a peanut butter sachet and put it in the take away box and handed it back to me. I’m not sure about you but if I’m paying $10 for a slice of sourdough toast, I would like the peanut butter applied… maybe I’m fussy. When I told the server as much I got the same poor attitude.
I decided all in all, it wasn’t worth it. It’s hard times and I didn’t receive the service I paid for so I asked for a refund. I paid with card ($10.11) and the server tried to refund me a cash value if $9.95. When I insisted the refund be of the same value and back onto my card (hard times) in line with Australian consumer law the server complained that I have to pay the extra for the card transaction and that they didn’t know how to refund via card. After what I see now is almost comical, I walked out without my money or my toast determined not to waste my time there again.

"Visiting The Bean & Barley cafe was a delightful experience for our family of four! The cozy rustic ambiance made us feel right at home, and the breakfast was simply delicious. They serve one of the best coffees and chai we've tasted, which added to the enjoyment of our morning, and the brekkie burger was huge! Highly recommended for a warm and inviting start to your day!"

This morning I went in for an iced coffee, the blonde lady clarified with me that it’s an iced coffee not an iced latte, I said yes an iced coffee with cream and everything, (whipped cream and icecream) then she made it with no icecream, my partner heard her say to the other lady that I didn’t want icecream, which is not what I said at any point, otherwise I would just order and iced latte.

I said to her did you just say no ice cream because I wanted icecream, then she just gestured to the cup that was full. I just said don’t worry about it then.

Iced coffee costed $2 more than an iced latte as well and the icecream is the main difference, and I just received an iced latte with whipped cream. Pretty annoying.
