We stayed in the cabins which were right on the creek with a beach view. For $200 a night we were stoked.

I was concerned after reading other reviews. However backpackers were all friendly.
It does look a bit like a shanty town driving in but once we were at the cabins, we all had a great time. Heaps of families and dogs set up on the beach. The kids explored all day. Great location.

Don’t bother if you are expecting a park with amazing facilities like Big4. It’s all about nature here, which we loved!

We the grandparents stayed with our two children and their families ,ages ranging from 72 - 6 years old. We stayed in the oceanfront cabins no’s 4,5&6. |Our cabin no.5 was clean and the bedding and towels were in excellent condition. Our view of the beach and tidal creek was spectacular ,perfect for exploration . The children had enormous fun as we all did. The park had a rustic vibe and we learned on arrival that it is a surf camp for backpackers so it does have a bit of shanty town feel but in a nice way . The park was very quiet at night and we even had an echidna wander around our campfire one night . Everyone we encountered was friendly. It’s a beautiful place and we would be happy to stay again

Appalled by the condition of the accommodation. Mold on curtains. Bathroom door off hinge so couldn't be closed. No bedroom door Stains on dining chairs . Plastic mattress with only one sheet. Curtains didn't fit the rods and were miss matched. Like holidaying in a second hand furniture shop. Decking rotted. $400.00 for 2 nights !!! Photos clearly taken from decade ago. Disgusting

Stay here for the location, not the amenities. The river and beach are just at your doorstep, and the Arrawarra Point is a drawcard as a surf spot.

The facilities are run down and much of the camp is currently dominated by demountable accomodation for the backpacker surf schools and itinerant workers.

At the right price, it’s absolutely worthwhile, just don’t come with high expectations.

UPDATE, AFTER CONTACTING THE PARK I WAS FIVEN A FULL REFUND, THANKS MOJO
This place could be magnificent however it’s more like a pacific islander shanty town for fruit pickers. Booked for 2 night's but left after 18 hours. The place looks nothing like pictures in the website sadly. We were woken up at 7am on a Sunday morning with loud banging, chopping of fire wood, islander residents burning their rubbish.

From their website and the price we paid I was expecting great things however, this place should be renamed to Camp Crusty at Arrawarra. Had to double check on arrival that we had the right place as it looked like a construction site with demountable buildings, shipping containers and rubbish everywhere. Booked a powered site only to find there was nowhere to plug power leads into. The amenities were rundown and filthy. The place was an absolute shanty town that seemed to be run by backpackers. We didn’t even unhitch the van and so we decided to leave. Very disappointed because the location is incredible. I would avoid this place or get yourself an updated tetanus shot.

What an absolute dump, more like a pacific shanty town for fruit pickers. Booked for 2 night's but left after 18 hours. Believe the reviews, this place looks nothing like pictures in the website. We were woken up at 7am on a Sunday morning with loud banging, chopping of fire wood, islander residents burning their rubbish.|This place felt very very unsafe. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

Very poor standard of accommodation for $200 a night. Could not stay there handed keys back but the owner never replied to my concerns or complaints. There are plenty of other better places to stay in this area. Tiny television that did not work, no cooking utensils, inadequate bedding and heating, tiny dated bathroom rotting deck. I could go on. Avoid.
