I am usually a bit of a fish and chip snob (I don’t mean to be but I like my fish and chips okay). I got the calamari and chips today and 1. surprised by the serving size given the price - very generous but 2. bloody yum!! I have tried every place along Sandgate now (I think) and this tops it. Also lovely service ⭐️

The food was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. There is a beautiful view, you're right on the water. Many cute dogs as well. Which is always a win.

A lovely spot to enjoy the very tasty light meals served by the Cafe. Absolute waterfront view and breezes with indoor and outdoor eating options and the beach -front concrete pathway for a walk to settle your meal. Highly recommended!

Fam today I need to share with you a review of the Bay Cafe in Sandgate, Brisbane. I had a breakfast burger, which is basically, bacon, and egge, melted cheese and bbq sauce on a burger bun. This thing blew my mind! The perfect combination of bbq souce, generous helping of bacon (seriously look at the pictures featuring layers of delicious bacon) an egge and melted cheese lava flowing out of this rig.

The service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed with a great view of the ocean. Folks here's a 5 star review, thank you so much for the delicious breakfast, have a happy festive season and see you again soon Bay Cafe in Sandgate, Brisbane.

Lunch : Fish tacos, Mediterranean toastie, chips and beer - $60 - worth every cent. Everything was hot and delicious. The sandwich did come out quite a while before the rest, but there is a sign warning of this, so… fair enough. Beautiful view and breeze. We would thoroughly recommend

The fish and chips are consistently above average and the side salad is a refreshing way to cleanse the palette. There are lots of fish and chips around this area, but this is in my top 2. There isn't much good to be said about the burgers. The patties are subpar and almost in the realm of early 2000s mass produced stuff. In an era where even the smallest place is making their patties themselves, it is quite underwhelming. If these are in fact home made, they harken back to a time best avoided by burger fans. Chips are golden and crispy on the exterior and perfectly fluffy in the middle, in contrast to many other chippies in the area. The staff are always attentive and tables regularly cleaned. Bin chickens are a constant nuisance, but spray bottles are on every table. Unfortunately patrons (you know who you are) frequently feed them, ignoring signage encouraging them not to do so. So any effort made is thwarted by this ignorance which ruins the atmosphere. Luckily they are located in a supremely beautiful position on the waterfront, which makes the bin chickens easier to ignore.

Ordered coffee & it was perfection!! Took my dog with me, as it is dog friendly & we had been walking while the tide was out. Lovely way to spend a morning!

I don't give many places 5 out of 5 for breakfast but this place is the exception. the food was very tasty and flavoursome but be warned the serving sizes are huge. was going to go out for lunch this afternoon but we'll have to cancel now haha. the view is great too. the coffee was great too well done to management and staff on running a great place to eat.
