Getting slugged a 15% tarif for a public holiday is fair enough I guess. I was of the understanding that Easter Saturday is not a public holiday. ... Unfortunately, I didn't see the sign, stating a 15% tarif on the bill. If the staff were getting double time, I would be very surprised! One of the 2 staff must have just consumed a large bag of lemons. She was mighty damn sour. Not being paid enough maybe?

Anyway $25 tagged on top of the bill was pretty cheeky i thought. We used to be regular visitors there for meals. We won't go back again. Messaged them on Facebook about our grievance. "Thank you for reaching out." was the reply.

I’ve dined here many times over the years — it used to be a local favorite. But sadly, the quality has dropped, and it’s hard to ignore.

On our most recent visit, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Flies were landing on our food and drinks — I’ve attached photos so you can see for yourself. When we politely raised it with staff, the response was simply: “There’s nothing we can do about that.” No apology. No offer to move us or help. Just indifference.

Even when we paid and were asked how everything was, our honest feedback was met with: “That’s unfortunate.” And that was it.

It’s clear something has changed — whether it’s management, standards, or just a loss of care. The food is still okay, but it’s nowhere near good enough to make up for the lack of cleanliness and hospitality.

This place had a great reputation. I’d love to see it return to what it once was. But for now, if you value a clean, welcoming experience — I’d look elsewhere.

Nice looking pub. Went in for a drink and they have a really disappointing range of beers to select from. No craft beer at all. Also left standing at the bar waiting to be served a few times while the staff polished glasses.

Been seated 15 minutes now and the servers actively ignored us. How does one bar prioritize cleaning an empty table when there are lots of empty tables to begin with instead of taking another table’s orders? Table service is so bad. Waited 10 minutes for a pasta dish we ordered — guess what? Pasta was piping hot in the middle and room temp on the sides which is a prime example of microwaved food.

We had a good food experience with their pizza a year back so we don’t know what happened here.

Had the best waitress ever, Katelin! Attentive as soon as we arrived despite the venue being quite busy (pub crawl group). She had set a table for us, served us drinks within minutes, and took our food order which also arrived promptly. What impressed us most about this young waitress was her initiative in providing us with a take away container without requesting one, noting that we had stopped eating for a while. This was a first for us and well done Katelin for your excellent service!!

Had a big family gathering there, it was pleasant. Busy, comfortable, and good different menu options. Nice staff, nice food. Very accommodating.

Took my family there for Christmas Eve dinner.
We are normally fairly easily pleased, but....
Firstly the service was ordinary at best but in defence of the waiting staff they were understaffed and they knew it. They were polite even when being asked tough questions (not only by us) but you could tell that they were stressed by constantly being challenged.
The food was very sub par. It's a pub so we didn't expect Michellin star quality food but $45 for a very small plate with a soggy salad, a handful of chips/fries and small two strips of dry weedy whiting, and yes sadly for the "cook" some of us can tell the difference between weedy whiting and King George whiting was seriously taking the Mickey. My $28 Caeser salad was again limp and stodgy. No mean feat to achieve IMHO.
The pizzas were huge but pretty much just big fairly tasteless hunks of pizza bread. The one shining light on the night was the ribs. Huge, tasty and perfectly cooked.
I know pub food can't be expected to taste like it's had the same pride and care put into that a good restaurant plate has but neither should it taste like the cook literally DGAF.
Won't be recommending the Bath hotel, in fact I'll be warning people away.
Gotta wonder how they get away with it considering all the foodary competition along the Parade.
No one from the waiting staff to the duty manager to the kitchen staff seemed to have any pride in what they were doing and whole experience for us reflected this.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bath Hotel, and I must say, the experience was made exceptional thanks to a staff member named Rose. From the moment we were greeted at the door, Rose's warm smile and friendly demeanor set the tone for our evening.

Throughout our meal, she was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our drinks were always full and checking in on us at just the right moments. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive; she offered great recommendations that truly enhanced our dining experience. Rose was not only efficient but also genuinely seemed to care about our satisfaction, which made us feel valued as guests.

Overall, Rose's outstanding service transformed our meal into a memorable occasion. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to their role, and I left the restaurant feeling grateful for her exceptional care. I highly recommend visiting bath and hopefully getting the chance to be served by Rose!
