An absolutely stunning vacation and function location. I went to a wedding here and it was the perfect venue. Right on a river and across the road from the beach. The rooms and facilities are first class.

Please read the more detailed constructive reviews before staying, we stayed in 2021 and I had hoped upon reading reviews some time later that the owners would've listened to the feedback, sadly looks like they have not so adding in my two cents so someone else won't waste their money. In my view the owners are charging an obsene amount to stay in a dirty, old and cluttered personal home. Location only plus. The host was completely unsympathetic to any issues raised and from other reviews this is common looking at the owner comments. Will never return and was happy to pay the ludicrous price but unfortunately you don't get the luxe or level of standard you should. Some issues as raised below by others so it's not a coincidence (dirty, personal items everywhere in kitchen, pantry, fridge etc, appliances not working, heaters outside not working, blocked sewage smell in cabin, no wifi, toilet paper ran out, rooms upstairs above kitchen not acceptable for adults with no walls and bathroom off kitchen/only living space, no living space when raining to accommodate amount of people, golf course not maintained, tvs not working) the list goes on, spend your money at any number of houses that are professional and want guests to enjoy their properties, these hosts just want to make money and have zero care about guest satisfaction. Sad as it has so much potential if it was owned by more caring people.
Update: since reply is below from owner I am adding in: I had sent a very detailed email to the host after our stay outlining our concerns and issues, let's just say the reply we personally received back was a very different tone to the below public one - I have no desire to engage directly again as found the tone rude, defensive and not constructive. Thanks but I politely decline to reach out again directly. Peace ✌?

We stayed at the Banksias for a week in September and loved every minute of it. We very comfortably fit 16 adults in the well-fitted out and luxurious bedrooms and cabins. We didn't get out into the National Park all that much as we spent most of our days making coffee/breakfast in the outdoor entertainment area, playing tennis and swimming in the creek, cooking in the spacious kitchen and sitting around the fire or in the spa on the chillier evenings. That said the location is spectacular, and we had the beach all to ourselves when we ventured out. Jo was a fantastic host, showing us around on our arrival and very responsive with a few minor queries throughout the week. We will be back!

One of the best properties I’ve ever stayed! The only problem was, the time went too fast!

The property had everything and anything you could possibly think of.

Location and surrounds are beyond stunning.

The most accommodating hosts I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with.

Loved my cabin. The comfiest bed ever, loved the linen and I want to buy the blanket.

The catered lunch was excellent quality. Local produce cooked and served beautifully. Loved it all!

An absolutely superb experience.

Thank you for making Andy’s 50th the best party to remember.

For a Family event, I spent 3 nights at The Banksias. I can honestly say my expectations were not only met but exceeded. The homestead had a large kitchen providing every item you could possibly need, the bedrooms were well maintained and extremely comfortable, the cabins had a luxurious feel while maintaining the charm of the idyllic surroundings. Some family members took advantage of the tennis court and well maintained golf course, while others relaxed in the outdoor hot tub or enjoyed the entertaining area with cinema but nothing on the screen could be more appealing than watching wildlife.
The Host Jo made the whole experience from booking to checking in seamless and nothing was too much of a hassle.
I’m already planning my next visit.

We stayed here as part of a family reunion, eighteen of us in total. We loved the fact that we all had our own cabins whilst the younger adults had the main house (upstairs) to themselves. You always get to gauge how well a trip has gone by seeing how often the kids are on their devices and there was none of that on this trip. We utilised the tennis court till well into the evening (yes there was tennis lighting), and the private golf course for a few hits and for golf buggy rides. During our trip, we had arranged private catering for two dinners which was delicious and amazing. We built beautiful memories here.

I highly recommend staying at The Banksias! The property is very well maintained with plenty of spaces to relax and spend time with friends and family. We had so much fun playing tennis, golf, operating the golf cart, making pizzas in the pizza oven and watching a Formula 1 race in the outdoor cinema area. The rooms and cabins were very comfortable and the indoor and outdoor kitchen spaces well equipped. We had a wonderful and relaxing time - hopefully we will be back in the near future!

Absolutely loved our time here! My extended family stayed here as we were attending a family wedding in Crescent Head. We all absolutely loved The Banksias which catered to all our different needs. The home was clean and comfortable and filled with so many amenities and appliances. We played tennis, went kayaking, played golf and sat around the outside fire. It was such a perfect, relaxing weekend. Couldn't recommend The Banksias more highly!
