The restaurant looked great but had plans elsewhere, I did manage a cold beer at their bar, which was amazing.
Parking looked a little dodgy as it was tight, but by the time I got back from my plans, we parked on the road, and it was fine.
The room was okay, no issues, we were tired, so it ticked all the boxes.

Exceeded all expectations. Great food and wonderful service. We were pleasantly surprised to experience full service at the tables, and were impressed by the friendly, cheerful and professional staff. The food was well presented and delicious, all at a reasonable price. All staff were really helpful, and could not do enough for us. A truly pleasant experience overall.

Our son's one request to celebrate his March Out from Basic Training was to have steak for dinner. Our experience at the Bar & Grill restaurant was exemplary. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the meals were perfectly sized and absolutely delicious. The tiramisu was perhaps the best I've had in quite some time, and the sticky date pudding was superb. The wait staff were attentive, and served us with humour and efficiency - a perfect blend. The Astor Inn Bar & Grill is a hidden gem, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Paid $90 for two steaks and they absoluetly cremated them! The medium was well done, and the medium rare...was also well done!! We asked for free deserts as we didn't have time to send them back, but they only gave us one. Seriously would not recommend if you don't like your steak the only way they cook it - well done! The sides were pretty nice though...maybe because we were hungry 🙂

Helpful receptionist…Jenny. Checkin quick. Bar and restaurant staff very helpful and friendly. Thank you Lee and the male waiter…apologies, I forgot your name but night shift Thurs 27 Feb. |Room cosy. Shopping strip within a metre if you wanted to go for a stroll. |Taxi stand same side as the hotel…located near the entrance to the restaurant.

We booked for 5 days as having cancer treatment. The room was tiny, could hardly get into the shower as the toilet was there and the shower door opens out. The shower taps made a high pitched noise when on. The Fridge was tiny and full of cans of drink. Couldn’t put anything in the fridge door as the staff have taken the wire holder off to fit the drinks in.
There is a compressor outside the tiny bathroom basin room that turns on and off constantly during the night and was so loud we couldn’t sleep. We tried to swap rooms but couldn’t.
There was no microwave to heat food. One lovely bar attendant did heat some food for us. Only saucers to eat off so we bought plates.
The TV was ancient. One lovely female bar attendant did heat food for us.
Kids were running up and down the hallway knocking on doors at night. Eventually the staff sent a text to all customers to control their behaviour. Overall we decided to go to another motel. We will never stay there again and won’t recommend the Astor to anyone.

My father and I recently stayed at the Astor during a stressful time, and our experience was made so much better thanks to the incredible staff. While the rooms and restaurant were great, it was the friendly, accommodating team and their outstanding customer service that really stood out. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Wagga.

Delicious steak, great service and good atmosphere.
