This pub has so much potential. It's just a shame everything on the menu is from the deep fry and the pub smells like an ashtray. Fresh air and ventilation is desperately needed. The smoke from the gaming room filtrates right through the main bar. A horrible experience!

We stay here for 3 nights and was great for what we needed. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Our meals were fantastic. James the new GM there is an asset to the hotel and goes out of his way to make sure you're being looked after while at his hotel.
I give it 5 stars ⭐️ for what it is. A great pub with good food and clean comfortable accommodation.

Love the Albion & come here often, however when there is no management onsite, I can’t get a wine on the menu, am not permitted to browse the menu without a nasty voice saying “you don’t have any idea do you?” And bar staff are a bit authoritarian at best. Please hire mature people! I’m missing my Albion service here!

Downgraded my review to one star from 3 a few minutes ago - went to ask barman for the wine and he had plenty - told me Mel who said she had none was a complete professional and accused me of being rude - told me not to come back if I didn’t agree with him I couldn’t believe it. Here is a bottle of wine I purchased which is the Glass. I asked for originally. I’m super shocked especially since I’m disabled. I have treated very cruelly

We have come here several weeks on a Wednesday and very much enjoying the food and service. Myself normally getting a wagu burger(8/10), partner getting chicken Parma with Hawaiian topping(7/10). This time I got a plain chicken Parma and it was fantastic(9/10!!!). Moist chicken, crispy crumb good tasting chippies and reasonable side salad. Absolutely delish. Partner got a chicken burger and he also said it was the best he's had 🙂 !

AND THE DESSERTS. !!!! spoil yourself and if you're a chocolate fan get the brownie. It's always fudgey, very sizeable portion with a big scoop of vanilla icecream and generous caramel sauce. 9/10!!

(Lemon dessert also very good, just the right amount of tang, 8/10)

When we bring the youngling, staff are always extremely kind and mindful of offering the icecream that comes with a kids meal.

Definitely a great relaxed place to go for good food, easy listening music from Eskimo Joe to Crowded House to Seal. Plenty of tellies to watch a game on. 🙂

Unbelievably noisy
Fair enough the noise from the pub till 3pm
But there should be sound proofing for the road noise, staff was nice and food was good, if you plan drinking till 3am then going to sleep it would be ok but if your planning a good night sleep I would not stay at this hotel, no chair, table, tea, coffee and kettle to the room, and lastly the adjoining room played with there door to about 3:30am which was a nice bonus, now it’s morning after about 3 hours of sleep, I need to get a train back to Sydney.
