I loved staying here! Terrace Central is close to Fremantle and the beach, with the free CAT bus right outside the front door. I was so impressed with the comfortable bed in my room that I asked Barry where he got them, and bought one the next day. My room was quiet and had plenty of drawer and hanger space for all my stuff. I enjoyed my breakfast and had some good chats with Barry. Overall a very pleasant stay and I'll be back in a couple of weeks.

I desperately needed a little break and went back to Terrace Central B&B after a lovely stay last year. Booked directly through the easily accessible Terrace Central Bed and Breakfast site and stayed for an over-night rest in a delightful room in this wonderful historic building. The decor was beautiful and what I love about this place is each room has its own theme and although it is just a stones throw from all the bustle of Fremantle, there is a wonderful sense of calm and comfort that was perfect. Sat on the wide balcony enjoying a wine and and some cheese and then a great rest in beautiful surroundings. A great breakfast in the morning with a genuinely friendly atmosphere and I left feeling very refreshed. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms excellent and well stocked with toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms and you could easily stay a week here and be extremely comfortable. I will definitely be back.

Any bad reviews on this place are crazy! Absolute 5/5!! I went here last week for a university conference and stayed 5 days. Barry (the owner) is very friendly and accommodating and really goes above and beyond for his guests. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished with their own bathrooms. The towels are nice and big and replaced everyday (you also get two which is not common to b and bs). The location is quiet, with lots of communal areas. It’s winter in Perth at the moment, and the heaters are on in the morning when you wake up which is great touch. The continental breakfast is exactly what you’d expect and it’s great to sit in the dining room with lots of travellers. The owner is very friendly and offers you coffee every morning at breakfast. Ideal location, walking distance to the cafe strip, hair dressers, grocery store, major train station and great local restaurants. Would definitely stay again, thanks so much Barry (and Odin)!!!

We were visiting relatives located in the Fremantle area. Our brother/brother-in-law recommended Terrace Central B&B Hotel because of his friendship with the owner, Barry White, and his familiarity with the accommodations.||||The room we stayed in was nicely appointed, quiet, and comfortable. The staff made sure the bed was made up and the unit was kept immaculate every day during our stay. The price of the room includes a delicious continental breakfast.||||The hotel has a beautiful veranda overlooking South Terrace. We enjoyed hanging out on the veranda--relaxing, reading and people watching.||||The B&B is withing walking distance of the historic Fremantle Market, downtown shopping, and eateries. ||||Barry made us feel very welcome and took care of all our needs. We would definitely reserve a room at the "Terrace" on our next visit to Western Australia.

The experience from the first introduction, through the booking process and check-in was both professional and friendly. Everything was clearly described and the room was clean and comfortable. The rain-head shower was awesome after a day on the stand at the Perth caravan and camping show. Being able to walk to the Cappuccino Strip for the evening meals was so convenient. It was also great to be able to drive to the places I needed to go without the traffic hassles elsewhere in Perth .||The breakfast in the morning with Barry was awesome and filled me up with nutrition and conversations, ready for a busy day.||I thoroughly recommend this to future visitors to Fremantle/Perth as it provides a convenient stepping stone to explore and visit. I will be back.

Barry is an excellent host and keeps the historical premises in immaculate condition. We had everything that you would find in an expensive Hotel/Motel for a fraction of the price. Great continental breakfast. ||We ended up staying and extra night as there is so much to see and do within walking distance. We walked to the Shipwreck Museum, Maritime Museum, Railway Station and Boat Harbour where we caught the the Ferry to Rottnest Island. We will definitely be back to stay here again.

Before you start reading this review: Let me make clear, that it is nor my intension to just make the Terrace Central B&B Hotel worse than it is nor to have revenge or something similar.||Throughout the last 15 years I travelled a lot, have been in 33 countries and experienced a lot of different hotels and B&Bs.||Unfortunately, this one is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. ||Let me explain why:||||Pro’s:||The hotel is situated at a really good location. It takes 10 minutes to reach the Fremantle city centre.||The other positive thing is that the rooms are renovated very nice. Our room was spacious an it made a clean impression at first glance.|| ||Con’s:||Room without any windows with direct daylight / mould smell in the whole room:||We paid 175$ per night at the hotel. I was shocked when I entered the room and I realized that there were no windows with direct daylight for this price!!! I’ve only been once in my life in a hotel room without direct daylight, this was in Bali and we paid 10$ per night for the room!||So, we were living 2 days in the basement of the building (!) and the result of having no windows and no good ventilation was, that the whole room smelled like mould. Absolutely disgusting! We wanted to leave directly and search for another hotel the moment we entered the room, the only problem is, that Barry (owner?) wants the room paid directly when you book it. And we didn’t want to lose the 350$!||||Cleanliness:||At first glance the room looks clean. But: The fridge is absolutely disgusting dirty, the water heater has red (?!) dirt inside, nobody cleaned the bathroom during our stay, there was mould in the bathroom and the corridors and the carpets in the hotel are dirty. We did not want to risk putting something into the fridge and were happy, when we could leave the hotel after 2 days.||||Communication with the owner (?), Barry:||Barry’s communication with his guests is far away from polite. As a guest you should feel welcome in a hotel, and this feeling we didn’t got at all from Barry. He gave us the feeling that we’re just tolerated at his place, but for sure we were not welcome at all!||If we asked him something, either he wasn’t really interested in the conversation (small talk, but no real interest for his guests) or his answer was a short, rude “NO!”.||||Breakfast:||I had better breakfasts during my time in the Swiss Army then the breakfast we had at Barry’s place!||Toast, butter, marmalade and some ham. I wasn’t allowed to use the coffee machine, Barry wanted to make the coffee by himself because he was afraid that I could break a Nespresso coffee machine!||And, in the kitchen, same as in the room, was disgusting!||||Conclusion:||We don’t recommend this hotel at all, especially not for this price! The whole hotel needs to be cleaned and Barry should work at the way he communicates with his guests.||It never took so much time to write a review, but it is important for me to share my experience at this hotel and warn other travellers!||Save your money and go to another hotel or B&B, there you surely get clean, mould free rooms with direct daylight for 175$ per night.

Sunday night dirty stop out and we booked into Terrace Central B&B.||We stayed in Room 4 and wow. The decor is excellent, some would say quirky. Beautifully set out, light fittings, art work, and breakfast to boot (strange hey for a B&B).||Each room is set out differently and Barry has done a magnificent job.||Do yourself a favour, if your looking to stay in Freo, give this place a go, you won't be disappointed.
