Stopped in today while on a ride. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We had steak sandwich, amazing. Pulled pork burger... Sensational. Pork ends and spring rolls. Maybe a cheeky beer. Great location.. Highly recommend.

5 stars for the great location and outdoor seating. Could had given an extra start if they would be better craft beers on tap. Lots of local breweries to showcase: Mountain Beer Culture, Reckless, Badlands

Been coming to this pub for years. Always been good but have to say lately they’ve re really lifted their game especially in the food area.
11 of us booked for dinner. Ordered everything from the barramundi through to the steaks. Everything came out together, hot, beautifully cooked and nicely presented.
Outstanding food, great service and excellent menu.

We visited the Tarana Hotel with a car club what an incredible hidden gem it is
• Food was delicious
• Views were amazing
• And the trip in and the surrounding countryside was endless views
• Definitely well worth the drive
• Plenty of parking

Dropped in tonight for dinner. Ordered two steaks, nuggets for the kids and a couple of drinks. Spent over $100.

Kids nuggets came out about 15 minutes before the steaks.
Steaks were ordered well done and were absolutely not. They looked like they had been cooked in the microwave and thrown on the grill for a second. Very little searing on the outside of the steak, one steak was red inside the other pink the whole way. They were also cold.
When we told the waitress the steaks weren't very good and were definitely not well done she said 'that's OK' and took our plates.
I wouldn't normally write a review but her response to our $100 meal not being up to standard was unhelpful and rude.

There were 6 of us & we couldnt get a table together as parties of 2 were taking up the bigger tables so that was disappointing,2 people were sitting at a big table with 8 chairs so obviously no organisation regarding seating.||Was expecting country meals at a country pub but were surprised to see garlic prawns,surf & turf,guessing the prawns would of been fresh from the freezer,noone ordered any seafood.|No bangers or rissoles & mash not even a mixed grill & no veggies on offer.||Outside courtyard needs a tidy,getting rid of dead plants & grass growing through the pavers.||Doesnt have great signage, re: parking,entry,bistro,menus.||We did eventually fumble to get menus from a barmen that was hunched over the bar yawning.||Food & service was average,wont rush back.

An absolute hidden gem. This place sums up "Australia". Friendly, great food beautiful views and very kid friendly Live music most Sundays. The cabins attached are not perfect, but have everything you need. I highly recommend Tarana hotel.

Stumbled across the most welcoming pub out in the country! Couldn't speak more highly about the fantastic service, food, atmosphere and most amazing owner !
If you're ever passing definitely drop in for a a beer , feed or stay the night ! You won't regret it ! ?
