Lovely eco lodge on a ridge with 360 degree stunning views. All amenities you’d expect plus complete isolation, yet only 20 mins from PL shops, Peter Teakle Winery and Boston Bay Elaine’s, and about 30 mins Coffin Bay where we did an oyster farm experience (all 3 of these highly recommended).||The lodge is comfortable and spacious, very comfortable bed, good shower and deep bath (did fit 2 of us).||Washing machine, dishwasher, tvs and sockets for charging, most of which e didn’t use as this place is for relaxing.||The full cooker and oven was good, bbq as well. Grilling toast under a grill is not hard (?!), and the kettle works fine on a gas hob!||The table and chairs outside aren’t comfortable but we sat at the cafe windows with them open which was as good, it was too windy to lounge outside. ||Short walks around the property are nice and the sunrises spectacular. We saw many birds but no kangaroos.||Roads are rough but 2WD is ok.||Overall very good if you want quiet but access to a town. ||Luxury is subjective thing, I’d say if you want peace this is luxurious and that’s what you’re paying for.

The eco lodge is still a very nice spot, but time has probably moved on a little and the accolades once awarded have perhaps ā€˜faded’ a little now so aren’t as relevant to what is currently considered a ā€˜luxury’ offering in the true sense. The $500 price ticket is probably about right but other than the view there aren’t standout aspects that make you feel it’s a ā€˜cut above’. If you want seclusion it’s absolutely perfect and it’s very warm and cosy whilst still spacious. But for what is essentially a ā€˜house’ it was a bit weird having no table and chairs. |There were red wine glasses but only a single white wine glass! The confirmation says a bottle of wine is included. There wasn’t any. We’d never rely on that anyway and did bring our own, but if you had expected it to be there you’d be annoyed at being far out of town for your getaway or celebration without what was confirmed as an inclusion. There are no power points for phone chargers near your bed. There are no steak knives. Yet there is a lovely brand new bbq. That was great! |The compendium of information is quite out of date. |Having the loo IN the bathroom is a pain - can’t really understand that design when it’s such a large bathroom space. The concept behind a deep Japanese bath is fabulous but the reality is that it is NOT for two people as stated - it’s not comfortable for two and we are not two large people!!

What a great spot and such a pleasant surprise. Its about a 15 min drive from Port Lincoln, and with only pictures to go by, you're not sure what will greet you. What a beautiful view greets you - amazing! Such a great property, really well appointed, and very luxurious feel. Great bathroom, bed with amazing floor to ceiling views, and a cosy lounge area. You simply must get there to enjoy the sunset and sunrise, it is truly spectacular. Surprisingly good mobile coverage too! Thanks for a great stay - really appreciated the well stocked fridge and provisions.. Beautiful property.

It is a spectacular setting, the bird life is tremendous, thanks to the efforts the owners have made in regenerating the Native Bush. The Ridge Top lodge has 360degree views so Sunrises and Sunsets are on. Well equipped and comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay. It is quite a drive from the main highway, but pretty well signposted

Super comfortable and beautiful setting. Very private and idyllic setting in the bush (we stayed in the Valley Retreat). Loved the fire as it was winter but the so cozy inside. We travel a lot and the bed here has to be one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in!||The retreats are 15 minutes or so from Pt Lincoln, 10 mins from the airport - but they are true bush eco lodges with all the comforts you need. Pack the provisions and wine and sit back in comfort and enjoy the serenity of the bush.

If you like peace and quiet (as we do) then Tanonga is in a great spot. We stayed in the Valley Lodge, which has some really nice features: the bed was very comfortable with lovely views to the bush outside and the bathroom was large and modern with a fantastic shower. The log fire in the loungeroom was much appreciated as we found the Port Lincoln area cooler than we were expecting.||||There were a few areas, however, where we felt the lodge fell a little short of the "luxury" tag. The TVs are tiny, although it is good that there is one in the bedroom. There is no toaster, so toast can only be made the same way you make it when you're camping. The outdoor furniture is pretty flimsy and not comfortable. There is no Wi-Fi provided and phone reception could only be had by walking about 30m up the hill. Tea and coffee was provided but only 200 mL of milk for our four day stay.||||None of this would be a problem if the property wasn't so expensive, but for the money you expect better.||||Overall, we would recommend Tanonga and we enjoyed our stay - just don't expect real luxury.

We are currently staying here for 2 nights and we are amazed of how relaxing and beautiful this place is. We are staying at the Ridge lodge and the views from every angle in the lodge are magnificent. The weather is very wintery which makes the fire so cosy to have while listening to the wind and rain. All features of this property is outstanding. I especially love the Japanese style bath. To top things of my partner proposed the first night, this place will be very memorable for us!

Tanonga is serene, peaceful and stunningly appointed. The drive out of Port Lincoln is about 10-15 mins, and once there, you just want to stay outside and take in the view while the sun sets. The attention to detail in the lodge is incredible and luxurious, and the setting is to die for.
