What a lovely place to eat! Food is great and the staff are friendly and professional. We sat outside where we could sit with our Pomeranian - dog friendly too! Great family friendly place. We’ve recently moved to the area and will definitely be back.

Popped in here for breakfast after spending the night in Cleveland after a wedding. The loveliest staff greeted us. I had Eggs Benedict with Bacon, and it was scrumptious. Hubby had the Simple brekky of bacon, eggs, tomato, and toast, which he said was yummy. Our coffees were also great at the perfect temperature. Would definitely visit again as prices were very reasonable as well.

This is a beautifully situated suburban cafe right in the heart of Wellington point. It has a good selection of menu items with very helpful and attentive wait staff and a fantastic array of baked goods and good coffee! I think if you were to go anywhere in Wellington point this would be the place. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and very quick service. But by far the highlight meal was the Mediterranean pizza. It was absolutely delicious and would go back simply just to have that pizza again.

Updated review 2023:I don't know what has happened, but the coffee is bad, I couldn't drink mine. The breakfast of Granola and Fresh Fruit Crunchy $14 had stale Granola, green and hard bananas, over ripe rockmelons, and the strawberries are tasteless and still raw. All our food and coffee was left, as I can't even give it a 1 star. I gave Tanja's an overall of 3 stars because of the location, plus the atmosphere.

Old review from 2022: Nice Cafe to relax and enjoy a good and well deserved coffee. I have tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Never have I been disappointed, service-friendly and fast, meals- tasty and comes to the table still hot, salad-fresh and clean, cakes-good and lots of choices, price-fair, environmental-clean and you have the ocean smell in the air. A bonus to visiting Tanja, the street feels, makes you feel like you are on an overseas holiday. Both day and night have a different feel to it, well worth coming at different times of the day. A romantic place for a date night, family friendly for breakfast or lunch. For the feel, I would highly recommend coming at night.

The shop is owned by old couple for 50 odd years and run by their daughter as a manager. They don’t care about about customer service they just run a business that earns them money. Whenever the lady owner is around you will notice a heavy atmosphere and she may be a good person and genuine but a terrible customer service skills after 50 years. Her attitude is built in her personality of not being kind/happy or generous.
If you are from Middle East or Jewish forget about going to that cafe as they are not welcoming you with their attitude and look.

The must place to go to when in Wellington Point is this place. Tanya's Cafe on Wellington Point is our recommendation to go to for coffee, cake, lunch or Dinner. We had just returned from celebrating a friends birthday feeling satisfied and totally content with the food and drink. The food is amazing, the service outstanding, coffee and cake to die for. Our table for nine had been booked few days ago and when the day came for us to celebrate the birthday we were greeted with a smile and a friendly banter between us and the staff. We live in the area for over 35 years now and Tanyas's has always been our choice for coffee and cake. Why? Because it is the place to be. I highly recommend this place to you. If you are an overseas visitor and in the area please place Tanya's a must place to sit and enjoy the warmth the owners and staff share with their customers. We have never ever been disappointed with the service. As an added bonus after your coffee n cake take a short drive to the point, take a walk on the peer, observe King Island an if you are lucky enough to catch low tide you can walk around the island. What more do you want in a days outing at Wellington Point. If you are there still at dusk and could partake in a seafood basket or a steak and beer don't forget to return to Tanya's. You will nor be disappointed. 😃
