This is the place I dreamed of getting married at when I was a kid - my very own secret garden, complete with fairy lights, an old, beautiful house and a large tree to celebrate under.

Our wedding was held at Tanilba House in April 2024 and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue. Pictures do not do this place justice! It has an elegance to it that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Deirdre and Glenn have done a fantastic job with the maintaining the property’s original charm and quirk.

Our wedding day itself was quite rainy and we weren’t able to use the fairy light area I’d fallen in love with for our dinner service, but Deirdre and Glenn were so flexible and provided several wet weather options for all aspects of our wedding. They were great to communicate with at all times on the day and in our planning stage. I’m a person that stresses a lot, but on the most stressful of days (typically) I was calm because I knew the day was going to run smoothly because of them. We were also able to get some beautiful photos with the thousands of fairy lights they have that make the place seem like a magic fairy garden.

The fig tree cathedral is absolutely stunning and is like a cocoon of intimacy. Your experience of it: you walk along a bark trail through the property, through some foliage and greenery, then emerge into a stunning open space with branches dipping and diving over the arbor. It’s a beautiful area that really makes your ceremony special.

We loved staying in the Maid’s Quarters as well. Extremely comfortable beds and provided great opportunities for photos.

Our overall experience with Tanilba House and its caretakers was extremely positive. We loved our wedding day and are so thankful to Deirdre and Glenn for putting together such a phenomenal experience.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to recently get married at the beautifully historic and romantic, Tanilba House.
Not only was the venue stunning from every angle, we had such a beautiful experience with the owners Dee and Glenn.

They were kind, gracious and made us feel so welcome in their home on our wedding day - a day we could've easily been stressed translated to a dream wedding, thanks to their warm hosting.
Both Andy and I can't thank them enough for giving us the most romantic and beautiful setting for our very special day.

They are 5 star for everything. Communication, location, food, setting, helpfulness, options.. the list goes on.

Thank you for everything Dee and Glenn xx

I recently had my wedding at Tanilba House. Dee and Glenn were amazing every step of the way!
The property is stunning and offers a unique approach, allowing both the ceremony and reception to be at the same place. We also didn't need to leave for photos, which gave us more time to enjoy our day with our friends and family!
Dee was available to help every step of the way, from sharing a list of vendors they work with regularly, to answering every question I had, no matter how strange, and helping set up on the day of the wedding!
I highly recommend Tanilba House, and Dee and Glenn, for anyone looking for a unique, fairytale wedding venue!

Family focused, unique and relaxed.

This is what we were hoping to achieve with our wedding at Tanilba House for our special day. The end result was even better, it was truly one of a kind and magical. We had a very family-friendly event with our two little boys as well as plenty of their little cousins and friends. Everyone felt so welcome and loved at Tanilba House where we had organised a colouring in table, a fairy for kids entertainment, 3 piece band and casual sitting/standing with canapés.

Our day was a true reflection of us as a couple and as a family. Dee and Glenn were able to bring my vision and vibe to life. There was absolutely nothing I would have done differently. Our family and friends were amazed at the location, food, music and most of all the feel of the day.

I would highly recommend booking your wedding at Tanilba House! It has everything you are looking for and more. Tanilba House will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We had our wedding at Tanilba House last weekend.
To say the venue is breathtaking is an understatement. It has something for everyone: an outdoor green 'cathedral' where you are surrounded by fig trees, a vine arbour which is encompassed by thousands of fairy lights, lush green grounds, little nooks and details to lose yourself in, a historic home and a waterside location.
The guests are still raving about the food and the beauty of Tanilba. Dee and Glenn are organised and gracious hosts who assist with every little detail to ensure the day is perfect.
We felt extremely lucky to celebrate our special day at this unforgettable venue.

Thank you so much for hosting our wedding! Tanilba House was so accommodating to all our needs and the room on site is perfect for getting ready for your big day! An absolutely gorgeous spot with plenty of beautiful photo locations. And omg, THE FOOD!! Best wedding food I have ever had!! I know I’m bias but I’m also a qualified chef and knowing how hard it is to serve wedding food I have to tell you they exceeded all my expectations! The staff are also an absolute delight!
Thank you for making our day perfect!

My husband and I got married here in November 2021, wonderful venue! Dee and Glenn were so lovely, very accommodating, happy to help with anything and everything, answer all our questions. We were after a mixed package with some DIY and some of their classic wedding package as well, and they were happy to oblige. Such a beautiful location, very unique with exquisite gardens surrounded lovingly tendered to by Dee and Glenn. If you're looking to get married somewhere steeped in history, absolutely stunning, and by the water, you've found the right place! Thanks again Dee and Glenn, Xx
