Sydney Potts Point Central Hotel - Potts Point, New South Wales

Basic accommodation similar to 3-4 stars motel. However, all necessary facilities were available. Clean and quiet rooms though dated. Air conditioners worked fine. Secure entrance and great location close to train station, buses, restaurants and food market shop.
Note that 2-bedroom apartment we booked was in fact 2 separate rooms without common living area.
Safes in both rooms did not work.
We left our luggage after checking out on Sunday at reception. We came in at around 2pm to take something from the suitcase and found no one at reception i.e. our luggage was not secured, - the entrance door opened without card and suitcases were in the room with the door opening just by pressing the button.
When we arrived at 3.45pm to pick up our luggage (they keep luggage until 4pm on Sundays) the entrance door was locked and we had to call the "emergency" number to access our luggage 15 min later.
All in all, we had good experience apart from security issues above

A nice central hotel, close to Kings Cross station. There’s an abundance of shops and restaurants on your doorstep, including a Woolworths supermarket. The room was clean, serviced when requested and as described, with all your essential amenities such as microwave, kettle and free tea/coffee. The shower was a bit small and it got a bit flooded as the curtain didn’t go all the way around. There were laundry services which we used but you had to buy your own washing liquid, etc which was acceptable.
Overall a good hotel, in a great location with friendly staff.

If you're looking for a hassle-free and relaxing stay, this is the perfect place.

We stayed here for five nights, and the entire process was incredibly easy. Room service is provided daily, but if you prefer not to have it, you can simply hang the "Do Not Disturb" sign. The reception desk is only staffed during business hours on weekdays, but this didn’t affect the quality of service—they were very accommodating. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you need, including cutlery, a toaster, a few pots, plates, stove top, microwave, bar fridge and other essentials.

The location is excellent, just a short 300m walk from Kings Cross railway station, making it a very convenient spot. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, cleanliness and value. Room setup is a bit tight but staff was very nice. And location was fabulous. Would absolutely stay again as we always stay in Potts Point.

I found the check-in experience a bit unusual. The room smelled of bleach but after one night it disappeared. Good bed, clean room. Bathroom sink a little small suiting washing hands only. Iron and Iron board good condition. Appreciated the room clean the next day.

Amazing staff, let us leave our luggage before our check in! Room was great and the amenities were really useful. Also super close to bus and main train station so it was super easy to get places. Only trouble we had was the reception hours, as we would forget the limited hours and need things like toilet paper but the reception was closed (more so a fault on us though LOL).

Room was fine. Comfortable clean bed. Service was fine for the little we interacted with them (not maned at night time). And the location is right next to the train station. 2 stops to the Harbour, or a 20 min walk through an amazing park. No problems at all for the week we stayed here, and wouldn't hesitate to book again next time I'm in Sydney.

Great location and super friendly staff. I booked here because of the rooftop terrace and it did not disappoint with a fantastic sunset view over the city and harbour. The cleanliness of the room was average. I noticed stains on one of the towels and a few stray hairs by the toilet (if you know what I mean). I also noticed housekeeping skipped over my room (not a big deal for my short stay though). Overall excellent value and enjoyable stay. (:
