I think some other reviews are spot on This place could be exceptional with a little tender care and upgrades..The stay was nice. I love the roof top. Nothing sticks out to make it really shine though and 5 stars yet. Staff was professional and polite. The location was perfect for me. And...the history of the Rocks is super interesting!

We were in room 408 at the front of the hotel with views towards the harbour bridge and opera house. ||Location is great for the cruise ships, trams, tour bus stop and quay circle area. ||The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit tired. Staff were friendly and the lifts very quick. The layout of the hotel with the central atrium is impressive and a trip to the roof terrace is recommended for the impressive views.||The dining area is pleasant and the breakfast was okay. A bit bland and repetitive, but adequate. Drinks at the hotel bar were reasonable and again, the staff there were friendly. ||A good value stay, which is currently being spoiled by their seeming inability to refund my $150 deposit. I’m not quite sure why the hotel takes a $50 per night deposit and why, despite their promises it still hasn’t been refunded after 9 days. ||I see other people have also commented on this recalcitrance, and it would affect my decision whether to use the hotel again.

Loved my stay. Was annoyed about the lighting tho for the room, only one side had access to lights which turned all lights on or off. Bed was comfy. Service was nice. It rained so we didn’t get much time to enjoy the rooftop. Foyer was spacious and plenty of chairs. Bar in the foyer was tiny so we didn’t use it as it already had quite a few customers. Went to the restaurant and the food was delicious and the staff very attentive and friendly. Would love to stay again as it was easy to get to and central to all we were there for

The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. |The property could do with some maintenance. Air conditioner was really loud and the bathroom was old and dingy. |Roof top bar no longer exists. Spa didn’t work. Couldn’t see the view as there were cruise ships in both days and nights. |Staff were less than enthusiastic.|On the up side, great location. Close easy walk to all the main attractions.

Amazing stay for myself and my girls before cruising the next morning from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.||Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room is a little dated, but was very clean and soo convenient for our cruise the next day. My kids loved seeing the opera house and Harbour Bridge, and walking around Circular Quay.

No room service. The bar was only open for a short while during the week not open on weekends
Breakfast was a poor selection only scramble egg.
Perfect location. Not staying again ever. There are other choices nearby

My husband and I have just checked in for 7 nights into a Superior King Room. I am devastated. A lot of $$$ for an old room with a bathroom I don’t want be in. The bath has no ceramic left on the bottom of it…the sink has black mould..carpets thread bare. The photos on the website are false and misleading compared to the actual room as it’s not at all like the photos!!!! Reception offered to do a deep clean but surely that should already be done. We can’t get a refund and go elsewhere because we booked through Agoda online and there are no better rooms available. We requested an early check in when we made our initial booking. When we dropped our luggage off, reception said they would call when available……didn’t happen. We went back at 2pm terribly excited to settle in and were devastated. Don’t expect help with your luggage. Think of a broke RACQ MOTEL but in a great location then you won’t be disappointed.

If in seven days I need to eat my words I will but I doubt it!!

Great location and lovely old hotel but needs an urgent renovation of bathrooms, my bathroom was very mouldy, carpet and furnishings need to be upgraded. Beds were comfortable.
Not happy with the way the on duty manager handled my complaint about the dirty bathroom, he said I shouldn’t have stayed in the room ? I said that he should make sure guests are not put in rooms with mouldy bathrooms.
