1 star - reception staff were great at check in. Didn’t really have much to do with the staff other than this.
2 star - the view! What a view!
3rd star - parking was fantastic

Positives ended there.

Please get someone to clean these apartments more thoroughly. I feel I need to completely bleach ourselves and our belongings from spending time here for five days. The dust! The cockroaches! The pink mould in the bathrooms. Disgusting! The decor is also very 90’s. Which is probably when the last time the apartment was cleaned properly.

We had a great stay at Surfers Aquarius on the Beach. The views from the 31st floor are spectacular!! The apartment was very dated, however served our family of four well with two comfortable bedrooms and 3 beds, large living/dining room and balcony all around. The outdoor pool was fantastic and we spent most of our time around and in it. We will be back for sure!!

We have just spent a week here for school holidays and we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel facilities and the lovely ocean views from our room. Great for Whale spotting.
However, we booked “ a 4 star luxurious apartment “ which was absolutely not what we got. The apartment is in much need of a good clean and repair. Everything in the apartment was cheap and old and the sofas were filthy and smelly. This apartment, 9B is privately owned. Everything in the apartment was from KMART, and Furnished very cheaply, absolutely not 4 star!! And definitely not worth the money we paid for it. If the room was slightly better quality we would return to this hotel because it is in a great location
Lastly, the two ladies at reception were the most cold and unfriendly people to have in a customer facing role. Both gave the impression they do not enjoy their job. I have not given a star rating for service because there is no service!

“Terrible Experience – Not Worth $800!”
The AC didn’t work, and even after we told the receptionist, nothing was done. They kept saying a technician would come, but it was never fixed until the day we checked out. The service was bad, and the staff didn’t seem to care.

The room was dusty, and the furniture was so old it felt like staying in a museum. For $800 for 2 nights, this place is a complete rip-off. Honestly, camping would’ve been better! Avoid this hotel.

Definitely not worth the cost! The rooms were poorly cleaned, and the AC didn’t work during the hot days in Gold Coast. We reported the issue, but nothing was resolved. The lobby was cooler than our rooms!

We recently had the pleasure of staying in a 2 Bedroom Deluxe Oceanfront Apartment at Surfers Aquarius on the Beach for five nights, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location right on the beach was unbeatable, allowing us to soak in the stunning views—especially the breathtaking sunrises over the sea.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the view from our room. Waking up to the horizon painted in vibrant colors was a truly magical experience. The customer service was equally impressive; the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Absolutely loved staying here! We spent a week in the 2 bedroom deluxe apartment with our three kids. The location was great, right on the beach. The apartment was spacious, modern and had everything you need, plus amazing views, the kids loved spotting whales. Also the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Terrible Stay!”
The AC didn’t work, and even after telling the receptionist, they just kept saying,
The technician is coming.Well, they never came, and we spent the whole trip sweating like we were in a sauna.

The room was dusty, the furniture was ancient, and everything felt outdated. For $800 3 nights I expected at least basic comfort. Honestly, I should’ve just pitched a tent outside—it would’ve been cooler and cleaner.
